I would love the opportunity, I am retiring from the Navy and will have plenty of time in the next couple of months to get to the range and the course to give this thing a true test.   Okay this is me:

Brian from Virginia, DC area.

Went back to my Cobra S3 this year (white edition) with a Aldila RIP Beta shaft (60/3.5/ Stiff) Also have same shaft in X-stiff for warmer summer days when I can swing a bit harder.

Swing Speed is 110 average for Driver, and Carry average is 265-270.

Current handicap is 13.2.

Thanks for your consideration.

Lefty here. I remember my brother hitting the original launcher and absolutely crushing it. He says it still is longest driver he ever consistently hit. Would love to test this

I would be ecstatic to (extensively) test and review this driver!

  • Mike, NJ
  • Stock driver from Callaway Strata Complete set (12.5*, hard to find specs on shaft, but looks to be graphite wrapped steel)
  • 105-110MPH Swing Speed, 250 carry distance (3500ish spin number with high launch on current driver is hurting my distance)
  • 18 Handicap (unofficial, but that's the average of my recent rounds)

This will be my 2nd year playing golf and I am working very hard on my game. About 2 rounds per week, and 3-4 days at the range, studying at home a lot as well.

Thanks for the chance MGS!!

      (4) TESTERS ANNOUNCED

Cleveland Launcher CBX & HB Irons

Heads up gang - time for another MyGolfSpy Community Forum Review opportunity!
You guys may remember our trip to Cleveland Golf HQ in Huntington Beach, CA last December. The folks at Cleveland/Srixon/XXIO showed our forum members a wonderful time and outfitted them with a full bag of brand new Cleveland gear..including either the new Launcher CBX or Launcher HB irons, whichever was the best fit.

It was so much fun, and the guys loved the clubs so much, that we wanted to give you an opportunity to try them out for yourself.

      TESTERS WANTED:

We're looking for 4 avid MGS'ers to do the MGS thing and give a thorough, professional and honest review of the new Cleveland irons. We need two of you to review the Launcher CBX irons, and two more to review the ultra-forgiving Launcher HB irons.

And after you review them, you get to keep them - how about that!

As you know, we take our Forum Testing VERY seriously at MGS. This is NOT A GIVEAWAY, but a unique opportunity for you to become a real golf gear reviewer. It's a full 2 month commitment, and you'll be expected to give the irons a thorough testing both on the course and on the practice range, and you'll be given a detailed review template upon which to base your review (we do try to make it as easy as possible!).

You'll also be asked to visit the review thread often answer questions and share your journey with your fellow forum members (and ask anyone who done an MGS review before, they'll tell you - it's a hoot!)

      HOW TO APPLY:

This opportunity is open to anybody residing in the US or Canada. Think you have what it takes to be an MGS reviewer? Here's what you have to do:

      In this thread, tell us:

      1. Your first name and home state or province
      2. Your current irons/shafts (flex and brand)
      3. Your current handicap
      4. Your preferred irons to test (visit the Cleveland Golf Website to check out the details)

We'll be announcing the testers next week, so make sure to check back here to see if you've been chosen.

      Good luck!

Well another great turnout and batch of testing applications, this one was truly not easy, lots of great candidates but in the end, these four gentleman have shown a true commitment to MGS and been active in the community.  Two of them are proven past reviewers who we know will do a great job, and TWO FIRST TIME reviewers, who we have been great contributors in their time on MGS.   S

      Please welcome me in congratulating:

      CBX Testers:
      HeathS16
      Peanut05

      and

      HB Testers:
      Ole Gray
      Wedgie

Stay tuned later today or tonight for a PM from me with more details and asking for some additional information.     We're thrilled to have the four of you take part in this testing and know you will bring lots of great information to the forum.
