Kinda. IN is actually the state abbreviation for Indiana. But Indianapolis is in Indiana, if that makes sense.

 

Most US Cities don't have abbreviations with exceiptions like LA or SF (also not taking into account airline codes of the airports)such as IND for Indianapolis, BWI for Baltimore/Washington Intl and if course everyone knows MSY is New Orleans. Ha
