cnosil
I can't stop hitting the ball high and it kills the distance Not knowing anymore than what you provided there really isn't an answer. Most people think they hit the ball high until they see a pro players ball flight. To lower ball flight you can: Change your swing if you have to much angle of attack Change the loft on your driver Change the shaft on your driver. What direction and what kind of ball flight do you have and what kind of misses do you experience with it? Are you a lefty or righty? MDGolfHacker I agree with this. My ball flight is extremely high as well even when I adjusted my driver from 10.5* to 9*. Im right handed and normally tee the ball high and play the ball off my left big toe, then I lowered the tee some and moved the ball back a couple of inches toward the middle of my stance and my ball flight is now lower...still a slice, but lower Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Mavrik 9* - Graphite Design AD-GP Epic Flash 3+ 13.5* - Graphite Design AD-GP XR 16 3 Hybrid 19* - KBS Tour Hybrid Steel 2019 Apex/Apex Pro Smoke 4 - PW - TT Elevate Tour VSS Black Titliest Jet Black Vokey SM8 50* 54* 58* - Graphite Design Tour AD-75 Toulon H7 Las Vegas - Stroke Lab Supersoft (winter), Chromesoft, or Pro V1

dhartmann34
Do you have a video? Are you hitting it high with no distance? If so,my guess is that you're flipping during your swing...but I can't make any recs that would actually help unless I see the swing. Joyzee10
You first mentioned having it off your big toe - presuming that you have your front foot turned out, that's quite the reach and you are well and truly connecting on the up. Moved it back to near middle and now lower but slice. Club isn't being delivered to the ball in its optimum position. My suggestion (and how I hit driver) is I have it in line with my front foot heal. Use alignment rods or a couple of clubs to make sure you're setting up square. Or even set your feet up square, have the ball in line with your big toe and then open the front foot. Any change will feel weird but hopefully that helps! Grip it and rip it!!! pulledabill
I tend to have a very high ball flight but good distance but accuracy not great at times. Ive recently narrowed up my stance and flattened my swing a bit which brought the ball down and Im much more accurate. Your mileage will vary. revkev
Chances are you don't launch the ball too high. More than likely you have too much spin and launch it lower than you think. BrookseyNZ
I can't stop hitting the ball high and it kills the distance Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy ok there is a few different types of high.1: low launch with a lot of backspin, this is the distance killer, usually a downward angle of attack. Starts low and balloons. 2: launch angle too high, generally this is too much loft. This is an easy fix and if this is the case, you very close to huge gains. 3: strike too high on the face. Very high launch with very high spin. Can be as simple as tee height or can be a steep angle of attack, or both. Make sure you get on a launch monitor and determine which it is. If it is the first and you simply remove loft it will get worse. If it's the second it's easy enough, if it's the 3rd it can be a few causes.
