cksurfdude
Looking for suggestions for a replacement to an oversize putter grip; the company that made the original doesn't seem to be around anymore and so far I have not found any others of these online. The grip is a Scuti BigLite 1 and I like that it's... 1. wide enough across @ 1.7" for me to place my hands opposite each other, plus 2. pretty light @ approx 95g - I'm not looking for any kind of counterbalancing effect. Here's what it looks like and the specs... I also like that it tapers at the bottom; appears just a bit more visually pleasing to me. I don't know how many years ago I'd bought a sample, on the cheap via an online ad. It had been sitting in a box in the garage, forgotten, until earlier this Spring when I got a new-to-me/used putter (out of the MGS Classifieds) and swapped out the Tour Sensor 104 grip on it for this one. Well, after only a small time of use .. because it was sitting out in the garage for so long .. the rubber on the grip is already starting to fray and decay a bit....... ... So far close candidates seem to be... -- SuperStroke Slim Fatso 5.0 (1.67", 90g, no taper) -- FlatCat Original BigBoy (1.68", 104g, flourescent green) ... What else should I look at? Thx! DPattGolf
Winn should have an option in that range. Berg Ryman
If you're looking for the opposite hand effect, the Flat Cat would be my suggestion. WInnPro X is what Ed Patt is suggesting, its largest size is 1.6 diameter, 95 grams. That's really about it in the over 1.6 market though. yungkory
Thx - I picked up a Reflex Tour to try; have seen several raves about P2 grips.I just put one on my ER2 last week. Liking the feel so far. Can't give it a decent review yet, my last round was on punched greens that hadn't grown in yet. cycleguy55
Have the SS Fatso on two putters. Definite improvement over the pistol grip style putters in both putting line and distance control. IMO the only downside is the size of those things and how they fit into golf bags. I have a Sun Mountain C130 cart bag and it has a nice dedicated sleeve for the putter, but the non-tapered bottom of the SS Fatso was catching on the top rim whenever I needed to use the putter. I fixed it by getting a length of PVC tubing for built-in vacuum systems, cutting that to length and inserting it into the putter sleeve. Problem solved. Putter now slides easily in an out - even with that fat grip.

BMart519
I like the SS mid slim 3.0 with no taper which is around 70 grams I believe, but it is all personal preference on shape, hand size, grip style, etc. I have used both sizes of the Golf Pride TOUR SNSR pistol which has a nice texture, but the large weighs 120 grams which is a big increase to club weight.
