Kor.A.Door
With Driver I would prefer left, if it is a right dogleg, I will use 3 wood, it is easier to turn the 3 wood than it is to turn the Driver. GolfSpy_APH
What's the one club that you want to try or play that you can't because it's only available in RH? For me it's the Cobra Utility iron. Either the new one or old one. Always liked the look of it and think it would fit great in my bag... But alas it's only available in RH. Please cobra next year? Please! Kor.A.Door
It's normal not to find LH stuff at most places. It's about money. Which is sad, but that's what it is. I don't think that GG or any box store needs to keep a huge inventory of LH putters, but if they were to have 1 maybe 2 of certain OEM's they would sell, and probably very quickly. I mean they have 42 different models from titleist, 20 from Ping, 35 from Odyssey, and then in the Lefty section they 3 putters 1 TM, 1 used Odyssey, and 1 Wilson. How about you take some of the dollars from the plethora of RH putters and put a few LH models. They will sell, probably pretty quick to. JRSD
Utility iron; not the driver irons!!!! Looking at improvement on 5 iron. I know (or am sure it's ego) vice proper swing and club selection. Looking to see if any lefty has had success with any of the new utility irons. #5(24-26) degree mainly. My bag: Titleist Driver-Wedge. 915h1 2hy set 18*. 3hy set 21*. 5 iron consistent. 165-180. But was thinking the Srixon U45/U65 irons; among others, MP MMC flu hi, ping crossover. Being lefty and a traditionalist. Makes it hard to find them all to demo at Golf Galaxy, Dicks, or Golf courses here In Austin Texas. Thank you in advance. Apologies for War and Peace thread. JohnSmalls
Robertana, I used to struggle with the exact same issue and still tend to see it pop up again ESPECIALLY early in the round or if I am getting tired(unfocused). I tried going the YouTube route and figuring it out in the beginning (I was too arrogant to take lessons)----which worked for a while and then my swing got worse but I didn't understand why. The best advice I can give comes from personal experience all within the past year. Please, do yourself a favor and go see a professional instructor, preferably with video/recording capabilities. Everyone swings a club differently and there are multiple causes for a slice. A swing flaw cannot accurately be diagnosed without seeing the swing and then there are different methods (opinions) for "fixing" what is wrong. Professional instruction has been the best for my game, and being able to see what I am doing on a video monitor while being corrected has helped me learn why the swing corrections are working. If you must rely on YouTube start off with this one series: Rick is not left handed so we make due with what we have available. -Rick Shiels complete golf swing guide I say this again because it is the BEST way to fix a swing and that is go find an instructor and take lessons. 00sportsman
It seems as though a slice off the tee is the price you have to pay for playing from the right side of the ball. It's a real common ailment for lefties, as far as I can tell. On a different note, I went into the pro shop at the course I was going to play today, and there were a bunch of left handed clubs. I commented on them to my buddy, the member, and he told me the pro is a lefty. Looks like I've found someplace to try to get some lessons.
