I may need to try those. It stays pretty warm and humid over here in MS so the leather on the normal gloves feel kind of sticky after a while.

I gave up on leather after moving to FL.  I was burning thru them so that’s why made the switch.

Good luck!

I made the switch to FJ rain gloves for the hot and humid rounds here in SC.  Longevity has been great for me and they stay tacky as the temp and humidity increases.

Got to love nothing being offered for Lefty. I have to order my gloves for where I am. The only place that carries any in stock are the clubhouses at courses and I am not looking to spend $40 for a glove every time I need one.

PGATSS brand is also a great glove - generally priced at 2 for $20. AND it's the only lefty item in the store they always have on hand. They wear exceptionally well and my preferred glove over all the other name brands including FJ.

Time to revive this thread for all of us and those lefties that are here and have recently joined. What is your favorite club in the bag?

I love the lefty only group. No one gets us like we do. 😄 I honestly struggle a bit with this question. I love my Srixon irons. All but maybe the 5 iron. I really really like my Driver, but recently was fit for the AI Smoke....... thinking hard on that one. Also, planning to have the Srixon guy take a look at the current iron setup and make sure there isn't a recommendation for some tweaks. As I type that it seems foolish. 😄 I was fit in 2021 and have gotten better, so I am curious about shafts and such. I'll take my PW-6iron. 😄 Make me pick one and I will take the 8 iron.

Just a quick follow-up for any of those lefties that are interested. I saw the Srixon guy at demo day and he pretty much confirmed that my current setup is spot on. I did hit the ZX7 and man! They are sweet. Down the road I would consider the short irons in the 7. I did buy an AI Smoke. Now working on the proper settings, it hasn't won the top spot in the bag yet. Still gaming the Rogue ST Max.

Which brands show the most love for lefties? We miss out on demos.  Some brands only offer limited products in LH. And it can be hard to find LH offerings in some niche products like utility irons. What brands are the most lefty friendly?

IMO, Sub 70 has had the best range of LH offering compared to other DTCs.

Usually when I shop for clubs I try to keep an eye on which clubs get good reviews, then go look and see if they’re available in LH.

Most of the OEMS like Cobra, TaylorMade, Ping, Callaway, Cleveland, etc., they offer LH clubs among their line. But I’ve found that things like a 5 or 7-wood are best available when the newest model is released, but as a year goes by, those items are sold out. Cleveland’s offers a pretty good selection of wedges in LH at the beginning of a release but then become limited within a year or so. Replacing my 54° wedge, would likely mean I’d have to wait for the next iteration of wedges.

I haven’t tried it, but I would think that getting a fitting could offer the best variety for whatever is best for your game.

These days I would say a majority throw lefties in the mix.

I've found that all major OEM's have lefty heads in their fitting carts. The bigger issue for me is what's in stock at the stores. I know what I want/need but when I stop in the stores, the lefty stock is scarce at best. I know we're only 10% of the market but it'd still be nice if there was a bit more stock. Reporting from my last visit a month ago to PGASS, still haven't seen Cobra's newest lineup, but they have plenty of last year's stuff. A few TM drivers and woods, same with Ping. Seems like Vokey had the most varied selection of wedges. Too bad because I always come with cash to burn (looking for a new 3 wood).

My most recent search was for a driving/utility iron. Many (not all) of the OEMs offer their utility irons in LH but I also balk at paying $250 for a single club. And the LH offering within DTC brands is more limited.

How do you like it so far?  How long have you had it on the bag?  What shaft did you opt for?

I went with the KBS Max 80 steel shaft as it is the closest match with the steel shafts I play on my other irons.

For what ever reason I struggle with fairway woods and hybrids.  I am most confident with my irons so looking forward to adding this iron and the top end.

I debated having the loft adjusted but kept it standard for now.  I can always have it adjusted later if the gap between it and my 4i is too big.

The 3i utility/driving iron arrived this week. I was able to get out on the course with it the same day it was delivered. Initial reaction is all smiles. Once I get a few more rounds and some time at the driving range with it I will post a short review here on the forum.

More on the left sidedness, I sincerely apologize for yet another derailment… maybe...  My youngest is a crazy man, he can throw both, bat both, albeit not very well but he can, but holy crap, the kid can’t use his right leg to kick in soccer, it’s the oddest thing I’ve ever seen. It’s like all of his coordination leaves him when it is time to kick the ball, I don’t know how to help him.  He’s kicking left foot, but it’s a weak kick.

Sorry.

My best friend in college is a funny one but had the left footed thing in common with your son.  Predominately right handed, but played soccer as lefty and was a baller.  I asked him about it years ago when we were having a kick around and I remember he said he really struggled as a kid but loved soccer so much he kept pushing and pushing and his left foot eventually developed into a howitzer.

I played soccer once for a practice with a friend of mine in probably 5th grade.  I ran circles around the whole team in a good way.  Just never got into it.  I will say I wish lacrosse was more prevalent when I was a kid, I probably would have loved it.  I’d likely have torn ligaments now if I tried it.

Nice! Let us know how it plays. 😃

Realized I haven’t reported back on how it plays.

I love it. I use it off the tee and off the deck. When I am swinging well and flushing the ball I get a long, straight flight with a mid trajectory with plenty of elevation and a nice roll out on the fairways.

When my swing is off and I am not flushing the ball the cub provides good forgiveness minor miss hits are a little left or right and a little short but still in good playable spaces.

Left handed but swing a golf club and ball bat right handed, which has given me better choices when buying clubs since 90% are used. Only problem has been with SeeMore putter alignment, which I like, guessing it’s a dominant eye thing. Works if I close one eye. Generally it’s a right handed world and we have to adapt.

I spent much of my adult life playing golf right handed. And played just fine. Agree that RH clubs are way easier to find both used and new and for trials and fittings. This year I made the switch back to LH irons and I have not looked back. It just works better for me and still feels more natural than swinging irons RH. The odd thing is that for drivers it is the opposite. I still hit my driver RH.

i just accept that my choices for irons will be narrower.
