I've been a member since January and have loved being part of the group. I felt it was time to share a WITB for Curly6 and give a little info about myself.

 

I'm 33 and have been playing as an avid amateur for about 12 years now. I'd say I have a pretty athletic swing with decent tempo, but can let it get away from me with the best of us. My preferred shot shape is a baby fade, with my misses either being a high slice or a straight pull left. Driver SS is about 105, and I tend to put a lot of spin on my driver, I think it's from coming down on the ball.

 

Here's my current set up, it's a pretty current bag as I've begun to really learn the dynamics of my swing a lot more over the past few years.

Callaway Rogue SZ, 9*, EvenFlow Black 6.0

Epic SZ 13.5* Aldilla MAX Stiff

Epic SZ 18*, Aldilla MAX Stiff

Apex UT 18*, PX Black hybrid 6.0

Apex CF 16 4-PW, PX LZ 120 6.0

Mizuno T7, 52, 56, 60 all bent 2* strong

Odyssey #7s Black 35"

 

I'd love to hear some input on the set up. I'm swapping the 18* 5 wood and the Apex UT depending on course conditions for the day.

That might change if the HZRDUS Yellow fairway wood shaft I just had cut down brings the 5 wood flight down. I'm open to input on a fairway wood shaft at 75 grams that would help bring some flight down.

 

The driver is playing at 44.5, and the woods are all 1/2" short as well. I'm a big believer in added control with the shortened shafts

I really like the feel of the wedges. Nice soft feel, due to them being forged. Durability has been surprisingly good. I'd say the boron they infuse into the forging actually does help with durability. Nice clean look at address, and personally I don't mind the blue, although I know it isn't for everyone.

I play to a 14 right now, my goal this year is to get down to under 10. I've identified some areas to work on, penalties off the tee are a big one, and working on better control of my shots into greens

Yeah, I've considered HZRDUS Black. I think I'm going to spend some time with my swing before I do a shaft change. I know I'm hitting a little down on the ball, so spin is a factor as well

Curly, your setup and mine are very similar. I play the epics and apex's as well with Mack daddy wedges. I also chopped my driver 1" and my 3 wood 0.5" for added control.
