Next up is the RYJ Reserva Real.

Depends on what you like really. I'm a big fan of the kuba kuba. I also like darker and natural flavored cigars. If you want something less strong try a Nub Connecticut which is not a full body/flavor. Short cigar with good flavor and an easy smoke. My best suggestion is check cigar international and find a variety pack and order that. They have samplers of different cigars and bodies all in one. The only way you will know what you do and don't like is to try them.

Agree with trying a “sampler”. You'll learn quickly what you like/don't like, and can zero in from there. It's probably not the best habit in the World, but where would we be with no vices at all? 🤣

That's a good, concise primer. “Nicotine Bomb” made me laugh out loud.

Friend is going to Cuba, he offered to bring back cigars, anyone have any recommendations on what to bring back over the obvious?

My two favorites that are a bit difficult to find off the island are the Trinidad Fundadores and the Ramon Allones Special Selection (RASS).

Find a local cigar shop and just buy a handful of different ones. You'll find out what you like and don't like.

The Hemingway Classic is one of my favorite non Cuban cigars. My Father is also a great brand!

Try Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor as well if you can.

I personally am very partial to Montecristo. My boss went to Cuba on a business trip 2-3 yrs ago, and brought me back a few. They were fantastic!!

Definitely should buy a sampler or just a bit of different ones from your local shop to see what you like. I'm a big fan of My Father's as well. They have a stronger pepper taste.  Also a big fan of Don Peppin LA Aroma DE Cuba MI Amor's from. Something about box press cigars where they just sit in your mouth right I guess.

After 2 weeks of internet research I have a good idea on the profiles I want in a mild cigar, some good ones ordered and on the way.

Tried the NUB today and will scratch it off the list, still favor the Fuentes so far.

Looking forward to the Monte Whites and Olivas arriving tomorrow.

Setting up the humidors will be fun also.

Give me some of you favorite milds if you will. Thanks for the help!

Hmm Nub is normally a good medium flavored cigar. I will have to look into a few mediums for you and let you know.

Really need to understand what your flavor profile is that you mention above before making recommendations. Also do you mean mild body (quality of smoke) or do you mean mild strength (level of nicotine)? Maybe this can help you with identifying flavors.

Okay do you like grass/hay flavors, wood/leather, coffee/chocolate or black pepper flavors in your mild strength cigars?
