GeekingGolf
I think the new Ping Hoofer in white looks really sweet. I am sure this has been covered multiple times but couldn't find it in the threads. Anyone have a hoofer or another stand bag in white? Is it a bad idea due to how dirty it could get. Truthfully if it's raining I don't play. I just think it will go good with my stock headcovers I already have M1 driver and hybrid and XR16 5 wood. It's really the only color I like in that bag and don't want to spend 230 on a SM 3.5. Thanks. PING Apologist #9
As the resident "PING Apologist" and really a PING guy all the way, I HAVE to weigh in on this...right? I had originally acquired a white PING Staff bag in white w/black lettering and thought I'd like it. Unlike the hoofer you're looking at, this one was made with that "faux" leather, so I wasn't too worried about it becoming dirty really-mainly because of the material. I imagine the canvas like material the Hoofer is made from will tend to stain fairly easy unless you treat it with a Scotchguard type of application regularly. But even for me, that white one was just too much and far to bold honestly. I later found my current bag in a dark gray with blue highlights that matches my current set nicely. Sure it too is PING, but way more subdued. I dare suggest a reverse-bias color scheme...Black w/white will be less susceptible to displaying the dirt and grime and still look totally bitchin' too! 4 Quote In my DLX Cart Bag: Driver: G410 SFT, set to 9.5*, Mitsubishi Tensei CK Orange 60, stiff (MGS Official 2019 Tester) 3W: G-Series SF TEC, set to 16*, Aldila Tour Blue ATX, 65g, stiff 5W: G400 SFT, set to 19*, Aldila Tour Blue ATX, 65g, stiff 7W: G410 SFT, set to 22*. MDGolfHacker
I don't have a white bag, but I would imagine if you spray it with a protector like scotchguard, you should be ok. If it gets dirty, wipe off and your good to go! MDGolfHacker 1 Quote What's In This Lefty's Bag? dhartmann34
I love the Hoofer...but unless I'm in the Southwest where it's dry a majority of the time...and playing at a nice club, I'd never be putting an all white bag into play. It'd be a wreck for me. 3 Quote Driver: G400 (8*) with Diamana Kai'li X-stiff Fairway: G400 (14.5*) with Diamana Kai'li X-stiff Irons: Crossover 3 iron (19*) with TT Dynamic Gold 120 S400 shaft AP3 (4/5) and AP2 (6-PW) with TT Dynamic Gold 120 S400 shafts Wedges: Scor 50*, 54*, and 58* with TT Dynamic Gold 120 S400 shafts Putter: Pro Platinum Newport 2 Midslant Handicap: 3 Location: Illinois...until i can get my wife to move to a warmer climate Right Handed: Although sometimes I wonder if left handed would suit me better
Charli
Great color combo. But I'd be pissed if it ever got dirty. Why my bags are ping blue grey and cobra all black. But it's a sharp looking bag

00sportsman
I have a white Slazenger stand bag that I got when I purchased it full of clubs. I'd recommend staying away from too much white if it would bother you when it got dirty. The suggestion of black with white sounds like a good way to go. I'm a big fan of the clean look of black and white and that Hoofer does look awesome. HardcoreLooper
Back in the days of the Ping stick bags, I had one in white. Huge mistake. It got dirty as soon as I took it out of the shop. I would hope that over the last 30 years, they'd have made some advances in stain-proofing nylon. 2 Quote What's in the bag: Driver - F8 - Aldila NV Blue 60 ( S ) 3 Wood (16*) - F8 - Aldila NV Blue 60 ( S ) 3 Hybrid (19*) - RBZ 4i - PW - D7 Forged - Recoil 760 ( S ) GW - LW - F8 - N.S. Kwoodfield
I had a an all white ping hoofer for my college bag at nmsu. It was a slight tinge of Brown after about one season. Looks great but gets dirty super easy and isn't easy to clean. I even tried to never wet the bag but didn't work well. yungkory
I wouldn't do it if you're planning on walking, unless you only play when there's a 0% chance of rain. My only advice is to not get a Hoofer 14. The club tangle was awful for me, even more so when the stand was deployed. Can't imagine how bad it would be for someone with larger than standard grips. I still think the Hoofer is the nicest in terms of aesthetics and pocket design, but I love the SM dividers Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk 3 Quote Driver: Rogue ST Max LS Tensei AV Blue S 3w/5w: TSi2 Tensei AV Raw Blue S 4h: CLK 22* Hybrid Tensei CK Pro Blue 80HY S Irons 5-PW: 223 Steelfiber PR 95 S Wedges: RTX Zipcore Tour Rack 50, 54, 58 Steelfiber PR 105 Putter: L.A.B. oaks
I had one a number of years ago. Personally I thought it looked great a little dirty with divot splatters and Gatorade stains. It's all personal opinion but I prefer them when they show a little wear. Kind of like irons with a little chatter. That being said my woods and putters need to be perfect and ding free. 4 Quote M3 460 9.5* - ACCRA TZ6 M5 X2 Hot Pro - 15* Aldila Tour Green X TaylorMade Jetspeed 19* w Matrix HM9 Mizuno MP-63 4-P Project X 6.0 Cleveland RTX4 - 50, 54, 60 Toulon Portland w P2 React Grip 2019 Players 4 - Pro V1
russtopherb
A friend of mine has a white Sun Mountain bag that drives him nuts as soon as it starts showing a little dirt.
