What Shots Really Impress You?

There are some shots I see guys hit that really make me go, "wow, this guy is good." It takes more than a perfectly struck sand shot. Drives that are absoulutely piped or long approachs (200-220 yards) that settle into the green nicely do the trick. Which ones really impress you guys?

Seeing a hybrid or fairway off the deck from 200-250 out either landing softly on a green or rolling up the apron to the putting surface does it for me. I've had a few of these shots myself (far too few really), but love to see when anyone does that...

Flop shots. It takes a lot of inner gusto to swing for the fences when you only need to go 10 yards or so.

You blade that bad boy and it's a week of depression and contemplating playing again after you take a big score trying to recover!

The drive that's absolutely hammered down a dogleg that bends just slightly with the fairway. A bunker shot that takes one hop and stops dead. A bump n run when the ball lands just on the green and rolls up tight to the flag.

I'll add another vote for the one-hop-and-stop short game shot. It isn't one I have in my bag, but my playing partner for league does. Is surprises me every time: I see it coming in, think in terms of how my shots would react and expect his to run off the green, and then chuckle again when it checks up. Just fun to watch.

The flighted wedge shot that screams in low and then rips back to the pin. It amazes me how consistently the pros can execute that shot down to precise distances under pressure. That and the flop shot. I'm scared to screw one up playing by myself. Can't imagine hitting one in front of thousands of of people with $$$ on the line.

This is the exact shot I was going to post. That one never ceases to wow me.

I took my putter and hit it as hard as I could, and the ball cozied up about 2" from the hole. Wound up with an ill deserved par.

When someone severely misses the fairway, ends up behind some trees or perhaps a cart path, yet still manages to save par or better... those are the ones that impress me.

I love the chips that take 3/4 skips on the green and dead stop. Probably my favorite shot in golf.

Threading the needle from under the trees and through narrow openings beteeen the trees or limbs with a draw or fade really shows me how precise some guys are.

The low draw or fade that bends around and under trees. Or sticking a 3 wood on a green, like on hole 15 during the Masters.

Another when you're in the sticks and hit a punch shot that just stays at 6' off the ground but goes 50 yds. Have seen Bubba do this a few times

A few years ago at he Masters Phil back right of 15 green, flag front left, and Phil being Phil, does his famous flop shot, crazy impressive shot. He does that shot all the time, but at the Masters in contention and it has to be perfect or it's over. Only Phil.
