These girls are good...(not just the guys)

I like watching LPGA tournaments.  I might be in the minority, but they approach the game more like I do; think their way around the course, plot their shots 1,2,3 shots in advance vs. the grip-it-and-rip-it PGA.

(NOTE: I am in NO WAY saying I am anything close to an LPGA player...they are tremendous)

This is just another example and might be one the best shots you'll see all year long.

This was in a sudden death playoff, which makes it even more impressive.

If you ever get a chance check out some of the LPGA tournaments.  I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I watch quite a bit of the LPGA as well, I agree that their game is a 'little' more relatable.....the shot Lydia hit in the playoff was nothing short of incredible

I would have to say we are all golf junkies so any tournament we can watch is a good one.  I have to agree though on the more methodical approaches the LPGA makes.

If I could live stream every round of the LPGA right now on my computer/phone I 100% guarantee I'd probably watch more of it than tour play. Outside of the majors I find it much more enjoyable and relatable to watch, but alas they are often buried in funky time-delayed slots on Golf Channel which I refuse to pay for.

Lots of past comments on this topic. These ladies are not only good - but fun to watch. They also don't seem to get as visible upset at a bad shot as the guys do (think Rahm)

This is one of the fun parts of waking with groups as a volunteer.; you see the non TV reactions. They don't generally slam most clubs, driver mostly, but do yell at their caddies and curse. I watched Christie Kerr try to throw he ball into the river on number 17 at Kingsmill. She missed and I now have that ball as a souvenir.

I enjoy watching the LPGA ladies play golf.   When the LPGA Tour Championship was played at Bulle Rock, I was a practice area volunteer.  All of the players were nice ladies and appreciated the volunteers, with one exception.   Christie Kerr was not very friendly.   But then I heard her interviewed and she stated that she knew she was not considered friendly sometimes because she tends to be focused in both practice and play.

Personally, I was glad to see Lydia Ko back to winning.   I'm hoping that it was not just the course where she won before, that it was an example of things to come.   I just could not understand why she made all those changes.   Like Lydia, I like Shanshan Feng because she just seems happy and pleasant all the time.   I just wish someone would help her with her clothing that is not color blind.

Oh yes they do, they just have fewer cameras on them all the time as the men do to catch it. A couple years ago I was a walking scorer for Michelle Wie and she damn near gave herself a concussion hitting herself in the head with her club after pushing one ob.

I guess I don't understand the thought that the PGA Tour guys don't plot their shots out in advance and just blast driver regardless

AFter having watched the players over the years,  there are some that are very intense and some that are more laid back.  This is their job and prior to their round and while they are inside the ropes they should be focused and may not be friendly.   During practice days and after the rounds, they should be a bit more friendly and acknowledge the volunteers and the fans their to see them.

You know how I feel about this. We have two LPGA players at our club. Both play the tips (7200) when they play. One is a plus 3 the other a plus 2 on the handicap sheet.

To give you an idea of how good a long game Brittany has I can hold my own against her around the green with one exception. She is ridiculously good out of the trap. A while back I went to practice around the practice green and the cart guy said go ahead there are balls out there. I got there and the joke was filled with balls. I when I came in I said you didn't tell me Brittany was here.

He just laughed - the two players he sent back there were her and a friend.

Sahalee?  When Brooke won?  I was there...  That was my second LPGA major; I also saw Suzann Pettersen lose Morgan Pressel win at the Kraft Nabisco.

These ladies are awesome. I've always enjoyed women's sports, especially in the Olympics and FIFA World Cup.

They are fierce and have a great grasp of the team concept. There is far better sportsmanship and parents in the stands are less aggressive than their male counterparts.

I'm raising a daughter and really look forward to see which direction she heads in the realm of sports.

Just purchased tickets for the NW Arkansas Championship next month. Took my wife and daughter last year and I think we'll keep going as long as they have a stop nearby. I'll never forget standing beside the 16th green last year and watching one of the girls miss left. She had a slightly uphill lie in the rough with green sloping away and the pin cut on the other side of the green. I called the shot and she executed perfectly. High lob that landed soft and trickled down to within a few feet. Yeah, those girls can play.
