The way you've talked up that SLDR over the past several months (or longer), I'd be real interested to see if anything you test gives it a run. Have fun! Ha yeah. I do love that thing. If I wait until too late in the spring I'll not switch. So if anything; I'll need to act on it between now and April. We'll see. PlaidJacket
Tried the G400 Max and LST yesterday. Indoors with a GC-Quad. Kind of a mixed bag I suppose. I liked how the club felt but spins for both were all over and distances were just odd too. Tried a few shafts, etc. Actually I didn't believe the distances it was producing from the LM. 200-215!!! Honestly, I'm not sure the LM was set up correctly if you axe me. I'll have to try again and hopefully get them out on the range or course. bens197
Just a little bump here. Adam and Tony were both talking about next year being a banner one for drivers with all the OEMs releasing new ones. I'm curious of any of the G400 devotees are interesting to switching away from their driver? I played yesterday and was hitting it well past a friend who was hitting it 20 yards farther than me at this time last year - he has the G30 LST. He hit my G400 LST a few times yesterday and picked up 5 yards plus over his old one. Mind you I'm doing the Superspeed test so that's where a lot of my yardage gain is coming from but I'm struggling to imagine that I would get much additional yardage or accuracy out of a new driver at this point. I will check to see if I have the ideal shaft for my swing in the Spring (once my swing speed test is done) - I'm guessing not but we'll see.I just saw this so I apologize. I can’t imagine hitting anything better than the LST head. If it’s out there the next battle would be explaining it to my wife In all fairness I would be surprised to see superior technology only a year removed from its introduction. I'll most likely do the same in the spring when pricing is down, I'll put my F6 up against it to see if there's any measurable difference for me. I'm looking more for dispersion than yards (although I won't say no to more distance!) and the 400 Max seems to have straight down to a science. Nunfa0
I took the plunge and was properly fitted for a G400 LST 2 months ago and I would never go back. I love the feeling when you get the middle of the club but even mishits still fly well. Jogoza
I made a fitting for the driver with trackman, I tried about 30 shafts of various brands and driver heads such as epic flash, m6, cobra F9, ping g410 and g400, titleist, mizuno, etc. After doing a technical analysis of the numbers, the result was G400 with ALTA CB 55 an stock shaft!!!. Incredible, I saved several dollars and the distance and dispersion improved substantially. It seems that ping made the driver and shaft for me. Take note that the G410 did not work as well as the G400. Totally satisfied with Ping. revkev
