Joyzee10
Amazing product. Got my 5 rounds in with it so now the caddie feature is opened up. Have had a lot of fun diving into the data and definitely see where I can improve. So far I've had to edit very little in terms of shots. Today was the first day it missed any shots as well as didn't continue onto the next hole although the green and tee box are pretty much side by side. Its been a lot of fun to show off and I'm very very pleased! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk Nice! Glad you are enjoying it Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy Quote What's In The Bag? MDGolfHacker
I have played 13 rounds with Arccos 360 and it works very well. Just leave my phone in pocket and edit after round. I have found that editing on the app is much easier than using the dashboard. Takes about 5 mins after round on my iPhone. Most of the edits are putts and flag positions. I am not convinced that their handicap calculations are correct. For example I hit 13/18 greens yesterday and it says my approach was 8.5. I wasn't knocking down flag sticks but can't remember ever playing with a 8.5 handicap and them hitting that many greens. I will attempt to dive into this aspect and see what I find. Overall if you like data this is a great system. I believe that handicap rating is only for your approach shots... In other words it rates different parts of your game.. So your approach game is that of a 8.5 handicapper. MDGolfHacker Quote TSssWhat's In This Lefty's Bag? Jbmullin
Just had a quick look at this from my round yesterday just to confirm and that does appear to be the way the handicap works, breakdown by facet. So like MDGolfHacker stated , on your approach shots you have the skill of someone with a 8.5. I struggle with my approach shots and I'm currently a 30, my worst area. THEZIPR23
I understand that it handicaps each facet. And it did adjust to 4.5 on that particular round. What I have found is that it takes a little while to update the #'s after editing. I can tell you that the overall handicap matches my GHIN exactly. However that is a function of overall score more than anything so I would expect that to be pretty close. One thing that I am trying to figure out is the how the average distance affects the handicap on each facet. For instance distance for GIR I average 23.7', on all approaches it is 56.6'. So I am sure it factors this in as well. So if I miss a green by a big margin it would equate to a higher approach handicap. GolfSpy_APH
Wondering some thoughts on how many rounds till you feel your averages and smart range are accurately reflected in the system. I'm starting to see it come along, unfortunately I've had a few rounds with heavy heavy winds and as well several clubs just haven't had enough reps to show what I feel are accurate yardages yet. Of course a few clubs I've only hit a handful of times so those are likely to take longer, but I will also add that I've been a bit humbled by the distances its showed me so far. I was a good 7-10 yards off what I believed my clubs were going to what the averages show so far. I am 8 rounds in so far with 3 of those being 50km winds and another during a cold and rainy day to throw some skews into the numbers. HardcoreLooper
I'm in the CCC2 as well, and I have about 5 rounds in on the new clubs. Still getting used to new yardages. I feel like I still need a few more shots with each club to get a representative sample size. I wish they had some sort of practice mode where you could go out on a course and hit multiple shots at once to gather data quickly. Especially with some clubs I don't hit all that frequently. MaxEntropy
I was the lucky winner of the Arccos 360 system from the #CCC3. Last night I played my first round with it. I had a minor issue on the course that I was not really sure how to handle - I had ~60 yard chip-in on our 2nd hole. Even though I stood around on the green while others putted out, I believe the system should have automatically advanced when I got to the next tee box. It didn't and it started adding those shots to the previous hole. I finally figured out how to manually advance the hole and move on, but it was kind of a PITA at the time and required substantial editing once I got done. Other than that, the only other real issue I had was figuring out how to asses myself a penalty, but that didn't take terribly long. For this particular round, fiddling around with Arccos was a bit more "hands on" compared to ShotScope, especially since digging my phone out of my pocket with a glove on kind of sucked. We were also dealing with some drizzle the first three holes and I really didn't want to get my phone out. I have no doubt I'll adjust to it, but I had gotten used to doing everything with the watch. If you saw my post in the How Did You Play thread, you know it was a bit of an adventure. Here are my HC's for the round: Driving is typically a struggle and my irons were terrible (it was the first time I can recall that I hit actual hosel rockets and I had 4 of them on one hole), but at least the short game was pretty solid. I expected the putting HC to be better since I ended up with only 12 putts (due to the hole-out mentioned above and a chip-in from just off the green on our last hole), but apparently it only considers the performance on the putts I attempted? Anyway, after I get a few more rounds in with Arccos, I'll probably start a compare/contrast thread between this and ShotScope. That's awesome As to the system not moving to the next hole automatically I bet, the system was probably anticipating you needing to putt and was confused when you didn't. One thing I do after I hole out is check my phone to confirm the number of putts taken and manually advance to the next hole. It saves me editing number of putts after the fact. I experienced some frustrating learning curves with how to best use the system on the course and editing after the fact. Find what works for you. The data is worth the initial frustrations. Hmmm... I just recently chipped in and it auto-advanced me to the next hole. The Arccos experience is extremely dependent on the phone. It's great with an iPhone. When I used an iPhone SE as a dedicated Arccos device, it worked beautifully. It also worked really nicely with a cheap POS Samsung J7 (not an S7, that's not a typo). I gave the SE to my youngest daughter, and the J7 finally just up and died. I've tried using it with a Moto G6 and a G7. I was getting GPS readings that were 50 yards off with the G6, and in my first round with the G7, Arccos had me down for a 54 for 18 holes. Don't I wish. It was actually a 79. And those 25 missed shots were not all putts. It missed entire holes. While I don't have a financial investment in the Arccos (I'm lucky enough to have received it as a part of the CCC2), I do have a ton of data in it, and I hate wearing watches, so I'm sticking with it for the time being. I'm looking forward to the Link device coming out in a couple of weeks. I would counsel anyone looking at Arccos and not using an iPhone to get themselves emotionally prepared to have challenges with Android devices (especially Moto G6/G7) and pony up the cash to get a Link device (for another $80). Which means you'll be in for a minimum of $280 for the grips (with a $99 annual subscription after year 1) or $330 for the screw-in sensors. At $139 for Shot Scope, I could probably learn to love that big watch on my wrist. It makes me wonder if Arccos is really concentrating on the OEM market, now that they're working with both Cobra and Ping. palvord and MaxEntropy 2 Quote What's in the bag: Driver - F8 - Aldila NV Blue 60 ( S ) 3 Wood (13.5*) - 980F 4 Wood (18*) - F8 - Aldila NV Blue 60 ( S ) 3 Hybrid (19*) - RBZ 4i - PW - D7 Forged - Recoil 760 ( S ) 52* - CBX 58* - CBX Full Face 2 Putter - Craz-e Bag - 2.5 (Blue) Ball - AVX Instagram - @hardcorelooper Twitter - @meovino Facebook - mike.eovino

Yep, saw that in another thread, and Arccos confirmed it in their Facebook group. It's incredibly disappointing, but I am glad that they're holding off on it until it's right. gobama84 and MattF 2 Quote What's in the bag: Driver - F8 - Aldila NV Blue 60 ( S ) 3 Wood (13.5*) - 980F 4 Wood (18*) - F8 - Aldila NV Blue 60 ( S ) 3 Hybrid (19*) - RBZ 4i - PW - D7 Forged - Recoil 760 ( S ) 52* - CBX 58* - CBX Full Face 2 Putter - Craz-e Bag - 2.5 (Blue) Ball - AVX Instagram - @hardcorelooper Twitter - @meovino Facebook - mike.eovino

They will still have to have a good product and user experience. I use it on my iPhone and have tried using the Apple Watch beta. I have 22 rounds that i have tracked with my Arccos and it is pretty accurate for the most part. Definitely helped me focus on my game. I love analytics, so it is good to go back and reference different rounds. I like what they have done with the web based portal and all the stats you can get there. I am also hoping the link helps improve the experience or they get the watch interfaces to do a better job with detection. Today they announced a beta for Andriod smart watches... maybe something to try to test? HardcoreLooper
Arccos is definitely a great product. I'm a big fan. I just wonder, with the way they're pricing it, are they giving part of the market away to Shot Scope. Anyway, the best thing for consumers is to have two good competing products. They'll both keep each other on their toes.
