Grip Recommendations to Replace MCC

Hi all 

 

Wondering what grips players would recommend for a replacement of GP MCC's.  I have always liked the MCC's but they rip up my hands and gloves here in dry CO.  I like the feel of corded grips and am also creature of habit but I am tired of constantly having my skin crack, or shredded etc with the MCC's. Velvets feel great but lose their tackiness quickly.  

 

The majority of environment that I play in is dry but I do sweat a bit.  A balance between MCC's and velvets seems like the sweet spot but wondering what grips others play and their sales pitch on them.

Lamkin Z5 are great, as well as Lamkin iLines. Try the Lamkin site as they always have something on sale.

I'm a big Pure Fan, great grips. Z5 are very nice if you go to hurricanegolf.com they have them on for 2.99 standard and 3.99 midsize

If you like the corded feel but are wanting something slightly softer compound I would try the Lamkin UTX grips. They are really nice and tacky with a cord layer that wasn't rough enough for me but might be just right for what you are wanting. The Tour Velvet Cord are also a good choice.

Honestly, I've not seen them but I don't frequent too many B&M's. I just looked on their website and there's a number around Denver that apparently have them...here's the link to their dealer locator: https://www.puregrips.com/locate-a-pure-grips-retailer.html

+1 for grips4less, I would've bought from them but shipping cost nearly as much the grips did. Another option is eBay, especially when they have coupons. I got 10 for $44 on the last coupon.

These will be my next grips.  I have a buddy who tried them out on his 7 iron and PW.  He really likes them.  Says they stay tacky and don't feel slippery like a lot of wraps.  He ordered some for the rest of his irons already. 

 

I would find about 3 or 4 different grips that are options and order 2 of each.  Put each different grip on a long/med iron and a med/short iron, play them for a month and see what you like best.

 

The new superstrokes are only $5 each.  You can't go wrong spending $10 on 2 of them to see how they play.

I love my SuperStroke grips!  I won a free demo and ended up changing out all my grips to them!
