But as I've aged even their lightest one is a tad too heavy for me. I was unaware of the Volant until I was looking for a cheap set of G's or G30's on ebay a few months back. After researching the shafts I bit and I'm very pleased. I needed higher launch and more spin with my 6 and 7 iron and that's what I got plus lots of forgiveness. I now have a club that I can hit 165 and another one in the low 150's where I was hitting 7 around 145 and 6 155 at best prior. If you're an older guy looking for a little more umph the FT 600 weighs 65 grams and the FT 500 that I have, 55 grams. At 40 per shaft suggested retail it's a bit cheaper than the steel fiber at 47. Speaking of which I have a set of Rocket blade irons with aerotech i80's R flex, 6-PW. That's five beautiful shafts. If someone wants them they are yours for $100 donation to MGS plus you pay the shipping. PM me - they are just sitting in my closet. Someone might as well enjoy the shafts at half price. I don't know what your game is like but if you are looking for a higher launch and stable ball flight these shafts with that G30 Head really pop. Is your current shaft the Ping graphite offering?
