Do you love the Ben Hogan brand? Are you a Social Media fiend? Love spreading the word about one of the great golf companies of our time? Then Ben Hogan company has an opportunity that you may want to jump on. It's looking for Social Media Brand Ambassadors. Check the link below for details, and good luck.
If anyone goes through with it, be sure and post back here about about your experiences along the way.
I am very happy to see the Hogan Company arising from the ashes- their product is outstanding (I am currently playing the TK Wedges (53 and 57), and had a set of the Ft Worth Irons, which I loved, but my swing was not consistent enough to make them work for me. I sold them to a buddy who has since dropped another 2 strokes off his index- they are indeed great clubs.
The interesting thing about the Ft Worth Irons is the approach to numbering. Ft Worth irons are labeled by loft angle, not some number like "7" - available lofting ran from about 20 degrees all the way to 49 degrees, then you get into the TK wedges. This allows individuals to create their own bag- and allows the player to have a standard degree (perhaps 5 degrees) of separation between each club. It takes a bit of range time to figure out your distances - for example Ft Worth 48 degree was roughly equivalent to my old Taylor Made Burner 2.0 wedge. So you work thru the bag, figure out what you need, and then you can order the degree clubs you want/need. I think it is a great approach. Just wish I was good enough, or had the time to groove the consistency you need to hit them- because when you do, OMG- "Like Buttah!!!"
They offered bags (both carry and cart) at a significant discount- I ordered two and have one more on order today- well made, with the Hogan logo- very handsome bag and a nice bag to carry.
I was not as impressed with the hybrids- I purchased one and had to ship it back as it lost the paint off the face of the club after about 3 rounds. They sent me a replacement, but it was not the same (had same specs, but club felt different in my hands and results were not what I was looking for)- that concerns me because if two supposedly identical clubs have that much variation between them, I wonder if the QC is up to snuff.
For the good of the Hogan brand, I certainly hope so- Hogan always represented quality, and I hope it will again.
Well fellow Spys, it's time for a little spring cleaning.
All items are OBO and willing to negotiate. Not trying to get rich, just make it fair. I've been buying and selling on eBay for a long time (ID=pgcsf). I know what things are worth, I keep items in best condition possible and I have great feedback.
As for shipping, smaller items are most likely free. Everything else, we will decide best option together and I'd prefer to split cost 50/50. I usually use USPS priority and it's almost always reasonable. Any thoughts/questions we'll work it out. Will ship within 48hrs of received payment.
I try very hard to describe all items as accurately as possible. I take great care of my equipment and have no problem passing it on to others to enjoy. Anything, please ask.
Please DM me Oudefart and I'll happily include more pics for any specific item. Thanks. I will do my best to honor correspondence in order received. I reserve the right to end any discussion/agreement should it get nasty (it happens, at least on eBay).
Finally, I request all transactions via PayPal. I'd prefer using Friends/Family option to avoid an fees. Thanks.

Woke up to this interesting tidbit on Facebook this morning from Hogan Founder/CEO Terry Koehler...
My life has moved into the next chapter with the transition at Ben Hogan Golf -- I've relinquished my role as President/CEO and evolved to a "semi-retired" Founder role, where I will not be responsible for day-to-day operations. That work is now trusted to Scott White, a very capable industry veteran who will do a great job. I will stay engaged in product innovation and many other areas, where most of my work can be done from my home in Victoria. I will miss seeing all the great people every day, and being 100% engaged all the time.
I will not miss the almost weekly 600-mile round trip commute, nor the waking at 3:00 a.m in a near panic about all that I need to get done that day.
My conversations with my wife on the weekends will no longer revolve around work. Yay!!!!
I will no longer be a stranger at my Victoria Country Club. And I look forward to working on my golf game to get it out of complete remission -- there are already signs of hope that it is salvageable.
I will see my Victoria friends much more often!!!
I will stay engaged as one of the five-member Board of Managers that provides high-level direction to the management team.
I will not work 70+ hour weeks anymore, and will not fear going from Friday afternoon to Monday morning without working at least some.
I am buying a new little place in Port O Connor that will get a great deal of my time -- new floors, painting, cabinet work, building a deck, etc. And fishing, of course. Oh, it's at 189 Easy Street -- how appropriate, huh?
I'm not going away from this dream I started years ago, not by a long shot. But I am stepping aside a bit to let Scott lead this team to achieve all our goals.
Wish me luck in dealing with all this leisure time.
Interesting news -- I spoke with Terry briefly this afternoon, he's already on the golf course, and plan a more in depth conversation with him tomorrow and a discussion with the new CEO next week. Based on an interview with Terry a couple of months ago, today's news is a little startling...
