I have played the Vice Pro+. Its a good ball. Might have a hair less wedge spin than the ProV1 but its near identical

Oncore elixir. It's a top level ball and if I switch balls that would be the direction I go

I'm playing Vice Pro Plus right now. I was loyal to the ProV1x but $4 a ball isn't happening.

The consumer direct model works because this product can hold its own. All the boxes check off for me...

Affordable

Durable

Great feel

Consistent ball flight

As mentioned above, I agree with the spin around the greens. It's good, not the best.

They're worth a try, I am very pleased.

I've been going back and forth on idea of getting some Vice balls but I still lose enough that I find it hard to pay full price. I typically get some Mint condition used balls offline

I'm not opposed to any other brands besides the two I mentioned. I'm just looking for a ball that performs well in all aspects. I just don't want to pay $50 for a dozen balls. I refuse!

I've been enjoying playing Vice balls. My home course has a ton of water and it's just not worth losing $3-4 balls. I also love the Vice style/design. I use their gloves, towel, and umbrella as well. Always great customer service and shipping. Great customization options too if you are into that sort of thing.

I just got a box of vice pro+ and played my first round with them on Saturday. So far I am hitting them pretty well and they seem as advertised.  As mentioned above they seem close if not equal to prov1 balls, and hopefully my opinion doesn't change after playing with them more with them.  After reading what you guys have said I think my next batch will be OnCore and/or snell and see how those feel.

It seems that most guys are over paying $50 a dozen for golf balls, so I am glad there are some quality options out there for us.

Indeed Max is on to something there for you with the Snell MTB line. They are direct-to-consumer just like Vice & Encore, and they have many great, high-end qualities to them. At a mere $31.99 and free ship, it's a no-brainer to try the Snell MTB test pack...

I am currently writing up my final official eval on the Reds, and will be playing the Blacks this weekend for the first time for an unofficial review. When I received the Blacks, they also came with a very nice "thank-you" note from Snell with a live ink signature from the owner himself-very class and these have been amazing to play with.

I played all 18 yesterday with the OnCore Elixr. It flat-out performed! Great distance, great spin and feel around the greens, and very good in the wind. I hit one bad tee shot where I thought I had sliced it. It never sliced and ended-up just off the fairway. Maybe there really is something to the interior weighting they talk about. It's a very straight ball!

It does seem hard to hit a bad shot with it. Last week i hit shots on 3 straight holes that i thought were going to be lost deep. I found and was able to play all three.

Love the feel and performance around the green as well.

It's not bad once you get used to it.

And as a bonus last night we played with some very deep/thick rough from a week's worth of rain. It made identifying the ball when it was settled down in it, a bit easier.

All that aside earlier this week, I played it along side the new Chrome Soft and it out performed it off the tee, from 100 yards and with longer irons.

Still can't believe how good this ball is.

I played the new chrome soft a couple weeks ago at a course I have familiarity with to help me gsuge it's performance off the tee and with iron shots. Greens were recently punched so it wasn't something I looked at.

I was shorter off the tee with chrome soft compared to oncore and Prov1. I was about 1/2 club shorter on irons. It was a good ball but I would play the elixir over it every day

Just played the Vice Tour today and I'm in love. Felt better than NXT Tour, e6, or Chromesoft in my opinion. This will def be my new gamer going forward.

Thats awesome. I'll admit I was skeptical of these direct to consumer balls until this year. Oncore ELIXR has changed that view 180 degrees. I've converted at least two other players at our club.

As for the Vice I've heard nothing but great things about it as well.

Greetings, All.

This is my 1rst post to My Golf Spy.

I am a 17 hdcp.

In my humble opinion, the OnCore Elixir outperforms the Titleist Pro V1, the Titleist AVX, the Vice Pro, the Snell (I forget which 1- played 3 rounds w/ balls gifted me by a friend), & the Kirkland ball.

No, I do not work for OnCore.

Skeptical, at 1rst.

Only tried the OnCore because I saw a post on line.

My 1rst impression: “Holy crap! Is this ball legal?!!!!?”

Hot off the club face (Callaway XR driver).

Smoked off the irons (Mizuno MP 18s- Yeah, I know. Someone carrying my hdcp doesn't deserve to be playing these clubs- but I cannot hit game imprvmt clubs-> waaaayyy too big- It's a mental thing).

Exquisite off my wedges (Titleist Vokey & 60°, 56°, 52°), w/ bite (That's odd. That never happens!).

Buttery soft of the putter face (Scotty Cameron “old school” Newport, gun metal finish).

Overall, love it.

However, like any golfer, open to anything better- especially if it is less costly!

Until then, even though I have the other balls still in my bag (along with my Bridgestone e-7 balls- very consistent in the wind, remind me of the old Wilson ball), it now is my “Go To” ball when it really counts (Tournaments, etc.).

My apologies.

Please forgive me for such a long post
