djahubes
OK, I really am playing devil's advocate this time, and something seems amiss. I just came from the pxg website and I see no mention of the Gen1 irons, just Gen2. I might be confused, but aren't discontinued models routinely offered by manufacturers at huge discounts already ... to anyone? I could be wrong, but don't other manufacturers already offer everything from huge discounts to vets on everything including their newest models, up to and including free fittings and bags? As a retired vet I'm all for our returning warriors being given everything they deserve for their service, to help in easing their transition back into civilian life, and I think that golf could be a calming influence many of them need to help get a sense of normalcy in their lives - but I fail to see how this is such a great deal. ... And it seems that with the profits they're reaping from their current customers paying premium prices that they could do better. And expecting vets, who more often than not return to society with no savings (being as most are underpaid) and limited skill sets and often struggle to earn a living as they rejoin the civilian workforce, to shell out 2500 bucks so a company can use it as a marketing tool just seems wrong. Do the right thing, give them to them for free until your unsellable inventory is depleted. And open your discount program to include current models. ~ Rant Off <_> Man, you are tough. Yes, they are only giving 50% on the gen 1, but look around and see if you can find a new set of gen 1s for $1250. That's a solid deal. As an active duty guy (19 yrs) and counting, I never expect anything for free. Deals like this are great. I actually found out about it through the veterans golfers association. I take a bit of issue stating our vets don't have skill sets. Maybe rethink that one! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
