Are you referring to the box around Golf Pride? if not, how are you using the grip to help with your alignment. Sorry for being so dense. Installed correctly the alignment aid - in this case the Golf Pride logo, is set so that when you grip your club you can square the face up just by aligning your hands to the grip. In my beginner lessons, my instruction would make my hand line up the V between my thumb and forefinger to the alignment aid which would result in a square face. Now I use a strong grip so it's offset from the alignment aid but I still reference it to know where the face of the club is in relationship to my grip. Long winded explanation and probably a bit obtuse. Others may be able to provide a simpler explanation.. Nunfa0
Stage 2 Wilson C300 Irons. Hello everyone and welcome to my stage 2 for the Wilson Irons. With a Total Score of 84 out of 100 next time you're in the market for new clubs at your local fitter, you should consider the C300 and not totally discount them in favor of the other brands. I have to give a very special thanks again to the mods for selecting me. Before this I was working at getting better and even though I was fitted for my G20's, I never paid attention to club specifications and never used a LM. I know for most of you this is 'old hat' but for me it was a great learning experience. Thank you I learned a lot! Great job Tony, all of you seemed to find the performance great but a couple of things let them down. tony@CIC 1 Quote In my cart Bag: Driver: King F9 9° - LH - Atmos Blue TS 6 Stiff Woods: King F9 - LH - 3/4 Wood - Atmos Blue 7 Reg Z U85 2 Iron Irons: T200 4 Iron AMT White S300 T100S - LH - 3-48* - AMT White S300 Wedges: Indi FLX- LH - 52° 56° 60° - True Temper Spinner Wedge shafts Putter: 2 Bar Hybrid Ball: Pro V1x Testing: Haywood CB/MB Combo Iron Set, 4-7 Cavity backs, 8-PW Muscle Backs, True Temper Dynamic Gold 105 Stiff, 2 Degrees stronger lofts. Darylk
Great reviews on some very beautiful and great clubs. I have a set of the c300 scored them for cheap on eBay 400 under retail and close to my specs. I wish I had the forged as I would like the softer feel but for the price I got can't really complain. Re: Wilson/Staff as a company - you're right, it's tough to really stand behind buying a product when the company itself really isn't behind it. I love W/S. I've now played 5 of their iron sets. They do a semi-decent job on social media, which honestly they did a lot better when Michael Vrska was still there. But yeah, it's hard to continue to want to promote a brand when they don't seem to want to help promote themselves, AND the hard goods simply don't live up to expectations. That phone call recap was painful, as is the warranty process. gaussman1 1 Quote In my carry bag: ST-X 10.5* Kai'li Blue R Flex ST-Z 15* Kai/li Blue R Flex ST-Z 4h Linq Blue R Flex Launcher 5h Launcher CBX 6i-PW CBX 54* & 58* Huntington Beach #10 e12 Contact CURRENTLY TESTING - Mizuno Long Game

I honestly hope people that matter from these companies get to see these when they don't go so well. Sent from my BLN-L24 using MyGolfSpy mobile app Honestly its probably a good case study in modern business silo's. It's apparent after being here for awhile that someone from Wilson's Marketing team is working hard. Sponsoring giveaways and competitions, finding sites like ours to do testings, etc.. It would seem though that there is a very distinct division between Wilsons Customer Service / Sales team / and Marketing division. Someone is seeking out MGS to get these products in peoples hands, and if I had to guess, I would say that poor marketing person is the one most likely to be updating their resume. It's hard to sell people on a company that appears to have structural issues and especially in a sector where customer service is expected to be better than most other industries. Anyway, Thanks for the reviews guys. A lot of hard work obviously went into this and as always, thanks for not holding back. People need the truth and I think Wilson does as well. Golfspy_CG2
Thank you all for the good, honest reviews. It's really an awesome thing about our community. When we select testers, all we ask is to give your honest thoughts. And it's been proven time and time again, that the reviewers do that both with the good reviews and ones that aren't so good. There aren't many other sites where you will find that, so many of them are concerned about retaining the advertising dollars, they only put out puff piece reviews. cnosil
Wanted to follow up on my stage 2 review. The C300 forged are still in the bag and I feel like I am nearing the end of the learning curve on how to hit them. Still not sure how much is head and how much is shaft but I am able to basically put two swings on each club. One is a normal swing and one is an aggressive swing that helps when I am between clubs. Club distances are still a work in progress as I am definitely hitting these clubs longer. Bad swings still result in bad results Not seeing the terrible wear pattern some of the other testers saw but the paint fill on the numbers continues to slowly chip away. Chrome is still bright and shiny with minimal scratches on the soles. This could be because I am back to my normal 1 round a week with little iron practice. I have looked back at GIR stats and while I don't see any statistical improvement I know I am hitting the ball better and my left to right dispersion is improved. missed greens are closer to the putting surface resulting in more chips than pitches. Bad rounds are not due to poor iron play. These clubs are still a solid recommendation as a must try provided you can fit yourself into non upgrade shafts. bens197, MattF, russtopherb and 2 others 5 Quote Driver: G400 Max 9* w/ KBS Tour Driven Fairway: TS3 15* w/Project X Hzardous Smoke Hybrids: 915H 21* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 24* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype Irons: TR20V 6-11 w/Vizard TR20-85 Graphite Wedge: 54/12D, 60/8M w/:Accra iWedge 90 Graphite Putter: TM-180 Testing: Backups: Milled Collection RSX 2, mFGP2, Futura 5W Member: MGS Hitsquad since 2017

In my stage 2 I posted that I'm hitting the C300's better resulting in better scores. What I don't know is it because I'm getting better or is it the clubs? The one feature I wish I had on my SC200 launch monitor is the ability to archive all of the swing data. That way I could post median data vs. an average as a follow-up. Regardless, I'll make a point of posting my new distance chart in the near future. FYI the finish on the clubs hasn't gotten worse and the urethane in the "power holes" is still intact. Sluggo42
One of my regular players got a set of these a few months ago. Ive hit them a few times and just didn't like them. But he LOVES them, and he has dropped about 15 strokes off his cap. Mind you he started at about 30, but with his new C300's he decided to really start a rigorous practice routine and hits balls at least a few times a week. He now hits a LOT of really quality shots. I really like mine, but they didn't automatically make me a better player. tony@CIC 1 Quote Driver: G400 Max 9* w/ KBS Tour Driven Fairway: TS3 15* w/Project X Hzardous Smoke Hybrids: 915H 21* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 24* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype Irons: TR20V 6-11 w/Vizard TR20-85 Graphite Wedge: 54/12D, 60/8M w/:Accra iWedge 90 Graphite Putter: TM-180 Testing: Backups: Milled Collection RSX 2, mFGP2, Futura 5W Member: MGS Hitsquad since 2017

tony@CIC
Just a quick update - I'm still playing the C300s, although as I posted before I still can't get the hang of that 4i. However, that's not a problem since it's a 21* and I've got a 19^ and a 22* hybrid in the bag. When I'm back to taking lessons next season I might ask my instructor what I'm doing different with that 4i.. The scuffing of the chrome finish hasn't gotten worse and the urethane in the powerholes is still in tact (I play about 4-5 rounds a week). My index has gone down by about a few strokes - and probably could have gone down more if my putting would improve - some days the putter works - other days not. Thanks again Mods for selecting me to test these clubs. .
