I know grooves is a must on wedges and irons, but not on drivers.  Do you need grooves on hybrids or 5, 3 woods? The grooves on my hybrids are getting pretty worn.

I am no means educated in groove/no groove. What I have noticed with comparison of my old Ram hybrid and my F6 is about 40-60 yards more and better roll out. I feel part is my ball striking has improved, and part is the grooves are clean, fresh, and deep. Just my humble opinion

My thought is hybrids need grooves to help with debris, like irons & wedges.

I think it was Bridgestone that claimed below a certain loft grooves actually take spin off the ball. Not sure where the cutoff is, but food for thought...
