Reserving judgement until I actually get a chance to hit them side by side with my 565/765 combo set. They could be the greatest set ever made. The 585 reminds me a little of the Lynx Black Cat irons. Those were not all bad....

I definitely thought the 785s were a lot better looking than the 585s.

That is exactly what I am hoping for, but I am still happy with my 565's right now and from initial looks of the 585 I don't think there would be too much of a difference in the tech department mostly cosmetic.

Srixon is so srexy.... I pray they sharpen them up, the -45 and -65 we're so damn sweet in looks and feel, right up with Mizuno in my opinion. Those rough 85s are clunky

Oh boy. Looks like Srixon is having their “New Coke” moment. People will be buying up all the 45 and 65 series irons they can find so they don't have to put the “new and improved” 85 series in their bag.

 

I'm actually having a hard time believing these are the final production version.

Let's hope not. It depends on how much Japanese influence they are pouring in. Think Honma 5 Stars... those things are ugly and expensive at but sell like hotcakes in Asia.

Agree, "if" that is the finished product, they will be collecting dust of the shelf.  Looks like irons you get with a Full box set for $299.00

I'm not sure they could make the 65 series much better. They are great irons. I tried the TM p790 for fun and the Srixon are simply better. I had a combo of 565/765 and just bought a second set.

3-4 driving irons 6-8 765, 9-pw 965. Yes I'm going no 5iron

Would love to try their woods and hybrid, sadly they just aren't available.

Looking at the new utility irons U85. Looks like the U65 and U45 made an ugly baby.....for heaven sakes please don't let the 985s look anything like these!

The Z565 hits like butter these would have to be insane to replace them.

 

On the up side the Z565 irons could be much cheaper
