Greeting MGS Forum Members!

 

I have been a reader of MGS for a while now and finally decided to join the forum!

 

A little about me:

  • Primarily golf in Western PA - but would love to travel more! 
  • 4 Handicap
  • Tossing around the idea of looking for a driver, wood set up!
  • Switching back and for between a SIK Jo Tour Prototype and Scotty Cameron Select Newport
  • Still searching for THE ball, currently playing Pro V1.
  • 2x Penn State Alumni
  • Putting Arc User

Looking forward to reading more about people's feedback and experiences with all the new equipment out there!

Greetings from Idaho! Glad you joined us and will like to hear how your searches go. I'd be remiss if I didn't suggest trying the PING G400 family of drivers and woods, but let us know how it goes.

 

Also give the Snell MTB Red a go. I found that it has some very positive attributes when compared to the PV1...and a whole lot less expensive too.

Thank you! I am definitely interested in G400 family of drivers as I have heard nothing but good things about them from some friends of mine! Looking forward to doing some more research on here before venturing out to test some of them out!

 

Thanks for sharing that review, I will definitely check that out! I like the soft feel around the greens of the Pro V1 but often times end up with a lot of spin on my iron shots (Both short and long irons) as I tend to hit the ball fairly high with a steep angle of attack. I'll also check out any other review of golf balls!

 

I'll be sure let everyone know how my search goes!

Welcome from NE Ohio! My traveling group of old timers play a few courses over in Western PA.  I like those courses because of the severe contour changes.
