I am a 57 year old golfer from Perth Western Australia who at the encouragement of my son, have joined this forum and am introducing myself.

 

I haven't played golf much since my mid-20s but over the past 5 years have had more time to play again.  I'm struggling to improve and get back to how I played when I was younger.  Whilst still being pretty fit for my age, for the first time in my life I have started to have lessons to try and get rid of my bad habits and hopefully help me start to improve faster.

 

I am looking forward to participating in some of the forums and getting some tips and ideas that might help me.  I also realise I need some new irons that better suit my current age.  I am currently playing Adams CMB irons with KBS tour stiff shafts but realise now I need a club and shaft combination that more suits my physical attributes (I am currently playing of 16).  I am hoping to get some useful ideas on what clubs others are using.

Welcome from Ohio! I had an occasion when I was still flying in the military to fly against your RAAF in a joint exercise. We had a great time. My biggest mistake was trying to match them beer for beer - lost big time. Enjoy!
