StrokerAce
What's the cut going to be? +6? cut line is top 60 and ties. looks like your right on the number ... bunch of guys around 60 tied at +6.... my guess is that it drops a couple strokes to +4 since the guys now have a good idea how the course is going to play (today probably shouldn't be much diff than yesterday) and they'll know their spots. I'll say leader after today is at -3 and there will be plenty of big names missing the cut - JDay, Rory, Spieth, etc. Just a guess Driver- Cobra Aerojet LS Woods- Cobra LTD 3w 15*, 5W 19*, F9 24* Irons- XXIO X (6-A) Wedges- Callaway Jaws Raw (54/58) Putter- Bettinardi BB56 Ball- Maxfli Tour X/Wilson Triad Buggy- Clicgear 4.0 Bag- Callaway Org 14/Fairway C

StrokerAce
afternoon tee times are going to get a good break as long as it's not windy.... soft course with the misty rain/humidity in the air means that it should be easier to hold the greens coming in. cut line could move down to +3.... Even if the course plays “easier†it still plays over par for the field - but t could easily reach plus 8. I think -3 is a good guess. DJ is playing well, all parts of his game are firing. To me this looks like golf. I grew up across the Sound, I played lots of golf in shifting, tidal winds, rain, elevation changes. I'm loving this and feeling a bit home sick. Undershooter
As this time, the USGA's software program is projecting the cut to be +9. leaderboard link: http://www.usopen.com/scoring.html Below I've copied and pasted the USGA's method of monitoring/projecting a cut line.: "After two rounds, the top 60 players, including ties, will advance to the final two rounds of the championship. Throughout the second wave of Round 2, the USGA provides a Projected Cut, which projects what the full-field leader board will look like at the end of Round 2. This projection uses a combination of actual scores for all players and the hole statistics for any holes they have yet to play. As players post scores, the projected cutline can move as players perform better or worse than the average on the holes they have completed." I hope they are at least partly right. As long as its gets to +8, I'm happy! Close2thepin
I know the US Open has a history of challenging players and trying to keep scores low, but is this course just too hard for even the best players in the world? Understandably the conditions haven't helped things for these guys, but watching them even try to find their ball and hit out of that fescue just seems unfair at times. 1.
