I've been reading online reviews for the last 3 Years.

Every club I have purchased has been based in large part by Golf Spy. I've fiddled with golf on and off since I was 5, but never really serious until about 3 years ago. I traded in my Harley for a set of clubs with the birth of my second son, in the hopes that I can give them the life long gift of golf. My uncle was the one to put a club at the age of 5, and I want to pass it on.

 

As a locomotive engineer, I work at least 12 hours a day. My family time my most valued time, but when I can I wack a bucket or 2 at least once a week, including winter. I get to play about two times a month, but I wish more. With a wife, 7, 3 year old that's about all my time.

 

After learning golf on a set of Ping eye 2s, purchased a set of Bridgestone's in 2001, but never liked the graphite shafts. I've been chasing the same feel I learned on from the 80s of my uncles old pings. That brings me to the next set of ping ISI becu's, I absolutely love and I will pass on to my boys. But they don't fit me as I am 5'10 and white dot. I have a mizuno jpx 850 pro set that was reshafted with project x 6.0. Also, I was using mizuno jpx 825 forged with s400 shafts, but I was told by my instructor that was way too much shaft for my swing. I'm hitting my 7 about 155.

 

As for drivers, I have a new ping 400 max with 2 shafts that we're fitted for me. KURO kage xstiff and Hzrdus 6.0. I absolutely love it. Traded out of g30 lst and sft. Now that my slice is cured I'm hitting about 270 in the air with the max.

 

I just started with an instructor and have had great results. Even tho I'm in the 90s because of the short game. But every round is getting better.

Welcome aboard! Get those kids playing and your rounds played will increase quickly. And when you have a teenager (like I do), that's the best way to get them to spend more than 20 minutes with you.

Now that you're here could you please help me with a question my father and I have had for years. How in the world do you become a locomotive engineer (train conductor)?

 

We always thought it was a cool career and it was a talking point as a friend of ours I played hockey with while in high school always wanted to be a conductor.
