I've got a funny feeling that Jimmy Walker may jump up and snag one. He's a fellow Texan so he should know how to handle the wind and he played good at the new Nelson links course.

I thought it was pretty cool he came to play the Kingsley Club, a super exclusive place here in Michigan to prep for last year's Open.

My heart says Rickie, but my head says Tommy Fleetwood. His game is looking so good right now. I like Fleetwood's game, and my daughter likes his hair.

Think a EuropeanTour player will hoist the trophy this year?

I'm going for Tiger! if the good weather continues here then Carnastie will be shorter due to fast fairways, meaning Tiger can use the stinger or irons of a lot of tees, when the Tiger hits fairways consistently then thats when he is most dangerous. Its a given he has creativity round the greens and putting seems to be back.

 

Whatever happens, I can't wait  :D

I have a practical question. I will be in Cali that Thursday so won't see much of the tournament that day and am flying back on Friday. Is there anyway to watch a replay of Friday's round on the return flight home?

Probably depends on the airline but I bet you can. In years past, they aired a replay in the normal golf timeslots for those who didn't get up early. If your airline has in-flight entertainment with channels, find that.

 

If not, maybe they'll have WiFi on the plane you can connect to for $20 or so. Then you just get the right app and watch it on your phone.

I have a couple of blokes I like to pull for - DJ, Ricky, Day etc but what I really want to see is a playoff.

 

I love me a playoff.

 

It's like a bottom of the 9th in game 7 of a World Series. There is no tomorrow. Pressure is through the roof and the intensity immense. Love it.

 

Is the playoff format still 4 holes?

I watched the 2007 playoff with Sergio and Padraig last night and that's what it was then.

I'd like a playoff.

 

Although Ice Man vs Phil was better than a playoff.

 

That was a Sunday for the ages. That's what I want. Not a blow out win, but a true battle on Sunday.

 

Bubba vs Tiger on Sunday... no wind, light drizzle, throwing darts.

 

Not hitting the ball on the driving range and taking 45 minutes to hit your second...

 

I'd take another BK, DJ Sunday too.

8 days! How's the weather over there? Dry I hope!

yup, hasnt rained in 4 weeks approx, plus higher than normal temps.

 

Forecast next 5 days is normal temps but still no sign of rain

I want it to be dry and windy. Like US Open dry. Slower greens. Really windy. I want to see the best players in the world tested by the elements. Let the course screw with'em.

I'm casting my coins for RooKnox, Russell, son of one of my golfing buddies (and newly converted Packer Fan!)(the dad).  Russell followed his second place finish in the French Open with an awesome win in the Irish Open.  Born and raised in Scotland and a true links player, hot as a pistol recently, got to have a chance!

Nonchalant putts count the same as chalant putts.
