11 and 12 will haunt the Big Cat for the rest of his career. Was right there, but those two missed fairways... took the wind out of the sails.

I am glad to see Italy get their first Major, and by a class act golfer. Hell of a Sunday. We need more majors.

That said, I predict Tiger catches fires and takes the jug on the second hole of a three man playoff.

Dang, I nearly predicted a finish I did not want to see.  I had some activities this morning that precluded me from watching the conclusion of today's round.  Tiger was leading when I left. What a strong final run by the Euro's!  Poulter must have stayed the weekend and given them a harsh pep talk this morning   :)

Impressive golf by Molinari. Bogey free over the weekend at Carnoustie... that is impressive. Great round by a great player. Really compelling Television. I thought we were going to have a 6 man playoff.... oh well maybe next year.

I had rose and was rooting hard for him. But I'm sure someone picked molinari and Ricky and Xander. Thats probably the winning combo this time if so.

While I'm happy to see Molinari win, I was rooting for a little more drama down the stretch. The tournament just felt like it ended early....must be the time change.

Quick #SpyStaffSlam Update:

If you didn't have Molinari, you have no shot. Even an otherwise perfect entry falls well short.

Since this was such a mixed leaderboard with so many ties near the top, there's a lot of combinations that can do well. SO it'll take a little bit to get the final winners figured out. Stand by......

Molinari went bogey free in a major on the weekend.  If that was Tiger or Jordan or Rory the accolades would never stop and the media would by talking about it for years to come.  Molinari won that tournament on his own merits by being better than everyone else in the field on the weekend.  He didn't get hyped by the media because his only backstory is he's Italian.

When the leaderboard had 5 guys tied for the lead at -6, I thought it was going to be a little more dramatic as well. Not gonna complain though, I had Francesco in a few of my fantasy lineups

All the others went a bit “sideways”, Molinari didn't panic even being in the same 2some as Tiger. He earned it.

Two days at Carnoustie without a bogey? That's some serious golf. His ball striking down the stretch was impeccable.

I found that impressive. Very impressive.

Francesco was impressive on a couple of levels. I hope this isn't a “one hit wonder” and he continues to play well and win.

Seems like a good guy. Not that the others aren't.

Class act for sure. I'm sure his country is proud too.

The Ryder Cup this year will be fun.

Rory, Tommy, Francesco, Alex... Pepperell?

DJ, JT, JS, Rickie, Phil... Tiger?

Can't wait.

So everyone complained about the US open at Chambers Bay and that it wasn't visually pleasing....but the accolades for Carnoustie with browned out patches on the fairway and crop circles on the green come rolling in....why? Because it's "links golf"? That's b.s.

Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

Most of the complaints about Chsmbers Bay were about the greens and the inconsistencies of them due to their condition.

Carnousties greens were immaculate and rolled as true as any I've seen this year. They were a tad slow, but the players didn't complain as they were consistent. Even Tiger who traditionally putts horribly on slow greens had near perfect speed all week.

I may be in the minority. But I was extremely let down by the outcome.

I was sold excited when Tiger, Rory and Spieth we're all at the top and looked like it could be any of them.

Nothing against Molanari he did what others couldn't do, avoid costly bogeys and double bogeys.

But my gosh he's about as exciting as watching a turtle cross the road. And he just happens to be on a very well timed streak of playing well. But at age 35 or whatever he is, does anyone see sustained success for him. He's been a very decent player for many years and thst's probably what he'll return to very soon.

There were so many other great stories in those first 7 or 8 names. I would have preferred any of them.

Oh we well. Hope the PGA brings something exciting.

I could not agree more.

Getting up this morning and seeing Tiger, Rory, and Spieth all in contention made me think it was going to be one exciting day of golf. But, that quickly changed. It is unfortunate as I think a final 2-3 holes with those three could have brought a hole lot of excitement back to the game.
