Jon Brittan
Any updates on scores and medals guys? I'm up to 990 points I'll give you updates as soon as they let me create an 18 from the 9s I play at the local course. That'll give me a huge swing in medals. Aside from driving distance, I've already got close to maxxing out the medals that are achievable in what it considers "incomplete" rounds... Might get to a different course this weekend for a full 18 though. I currently have 870 points. I've just done a quick calculation of the additional points I should have if my rounds were being counted as 18s and I'm short by a further 2,350 points which are only available for "complete" rounds. You have your lead for now John, you have your lead for now... MattF, Nunfa0 and JohnSmalls 3 Quote Self taught golfer trying hard to improve his game. Started playing early summer 2016. perseveringgolfer
Any updates on scores and medals guys? I'm up to 990 points The medals and points I see are gimmicks and hold no interest for me. I just want accurate reliable data with little effort on my part. Golf takes up enough concentration with all the variables you have to take into account for a decent round for me to also try for a '300yd+ long drive medal' cause I'm downwind from a high tee on a links course! because I know I average 235yd carry from trackman sessions winning a 'medal' has little meaning. Jon Brittan
Okay, here's a marginally annoying observation... I didn't get a chance to get to the other local course I'd wanted to this weekend, so in the hope of recording an 18, I played the same 9-hole course back to back today without ending round in between. Have you contacted the support team on this yet? Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy Not on the fact that if you play back to back 9s on the same course it splits them rather than blend an 18, no. However, I did speak to them last week about merging 9s into an 18 for courses that are made up of multiple separate 9s (Or other denominations) and apparently that is coming in the next week or so. The support guys are great. I mailed them yesterday (Sunday) asking for the Ft Worth Black irons to be added to their club range and they were done by today. Nunfa0
So a couple of days ago I was fitted for a new driver. I spent an hour at the range hitting multiple club and shaft combos till finally I was fitted into a Ping G400 LST with a stiff shaft (exact specs to come later). I have to wait for my club to arrive so they loaned me one that is set up as close as possible to my specs. Har in the Hat
I'm not sure if this was covered, but in the Arccos system there is a $99 annual subscription fee. Does the SS have an annual fee? As far as I see, I am not willing to pay $99 a year for something I am only going to use for 6 months of the year. Thus, if SS has no yearly fee, then it will a competition between SS and the new Garmin Approach CT10 No fee on Arccos if you have the screw in sensors. I think that is very situationally dependent. It's quite common around here to have courses that are made up of multiple 9s or other numbers of holes, which are combined to make a "full" round. My local course has 3 9-hole courses which are specifically designed to be played as any 2 of three to make up an 18. All are a total par-72 and have blended SI etc to make a sensible combined 18. We tend to be far more limited for space over here as well, so it's not unusual to see courses which are 9-holes designed to be played twice for an 18 hole score. If you buy the stand alone system that you have to screw the sensors into the clubs, as opposed to the Smart Grips version that's "built in" to the grips, then there's no yearly fee. The Smart Grips have a $99.99 yearly fee. jtnunley1983
So last Thursday, I played 9 holes and the Shot Scope tracked everything perfectly, except for one problem...for some reason it recorded my 9 holes as 2 rounds. One round of 7 holes, and then the last two holes as their own separate round. Has anyone ever had this issue come up before? If so, is there a way to merge them? I know there has been some discussion on merging 9 hole rounds played on different days into an 18 hole round, but this question is slightly different. Never had the issue before so I am not sure about merging two rounds. But one workaround that should work would be to go edit the 7 hole "round", manually add the shots for the two holes that were improperly tracked as a different round. After you add the strokes, save the 7 hole round and delete the separate and now duplicated 2 hole "round".
