Being the club tart that I am, I have been through four drivers, two three woods and now I have just bought a two iron to replace my hybrid. I just like that I can swap the tags around to compare performance between the clubs and see which is truly the best for my game

or you can put the tags on, say 2 different 8 irons and then compare them.

I'm still waiting on mine ( 2 weeks now).

I hope it doesn't get sent by Canada Post after customs. I might never see it.

The one thing I noticed the other day was that the GPS+Pro won't log in a less than 9 hole round. I was playing my home course on Sunday afternoon, with the purpose of catching up with some friends who were a few holes ahead of me. I finished the first 2 holes (a par 4 & par 5) in -1, skipped the 3rd hole and joined up with my mates. I played out the remaining 6 holes with the watch showing no complaints.

Once I got home and tried to sync the round, the phone app said that I didn't have enough shots entered for the round to be legitimate. That kinda sucks, as not only did I play well (+1 thru 8 holes!), but I drove the green on the short 6th hole (would've been a nice bit of bragging rights, and increased my driving length average).

I'm pretty sure this is something I've done before, but I'm not certain now you mention it.
I'll check my ShotScope dashboard when I get chance, but might have to test this specifically too...

 

Also, @Nunfa0, one of the things in the Beta is the ability to turn courses with multiple 9s (or reciprocating 9s) into an 18 hole round. Once I can publish those scores, watch out on the leaderboards

I have arccos 360 and love it, but if the MGS leaderboard takes off (as I suspect it will) I may have to make the switch.
Really not a fan of wearing a watch while golfing, but I think I could make it work!

You really don't notice it at all, which is surprising given how much bigger it is than any watch I'd usually wear.

That said, it'd be even better if they made a smart-watch integration. Due to my work I wear a smart-watch constantly so if anything urgent comes up I can be notified immediately without ever having to have my phone ringer turned on. I'm currently playing golf with a watch on each wrist...

Part of it may also be with being a lefty and wearing it on my left hand I can feel it with my wrist hinge. Maybe if I wore it higher on my wrist? Either way I'll be paying real close attention to how the leaderboards progress and how it all turns out.

As i am also a lefty, I inquired and Shotscope states that it needs to be worn on the right wrist to keep it close to the club

no more than 10cm from the insert so the 'wrong' wrist might mean missed strokes. It's 'one' reason they gave me for mine missing a few strokes per round even though I'm a righty.

I bought mine for this sole reason. I can’t wait to participate, and I REALLY don’t like a watch on while I play!!! Should be a ton of fun.

I would love to do the shotscope leader board, but after reading the arccos and shotscope reviews again, I don't think I could handle the giant watch. I wore a fitbit for a few rounds this year which is much, much smaller and I couldn't get used to it. Having a phone in my front pocket seems much more reasonable to me. Help change my mind!

Arccos requires the phone to be in your front pocket and if you use it for yardages and GPS you will need to constantly take it in and out of your pocket ( as reported by one of the testers). That is why I went with SS (MGS leaderboard sealed the deal)

Yes. SS states it has to be within a certain distance of the sensor.

I think I would be better with my phone in my front pocket than with the gigantic watch. My phone is usually in my back pocket anyway, so I don't think it'd be too big of a deal in the front.

Shoot their customer service an email. They might have recorded your stats, just not visible on the dashboard. And they are real quick to respond as well!
