How do you remove the black finish on a 2018 Betti BB1?

How can it be done safely?  Is there a chemical that can strip it away?  I can see silver underneath so I am assuming it is a coating.

Its a form of PVD Coating so I don't think a chemical strip is a realistic option. Could be wrong though. From what I have been able to find just from some really quick web searching is that sand blasting seems to be the method of choice.
