When you are a beginner, it's "fun" and you go in with eyes wide open and soak up all of the experiences and build that "character". But once you start to cross the line from beginner and into a more advanced, confident skill set and with a more knowledgeable understanding of the game, the Gods will take this as an arrogant insult and will begin to wear you out especially should you ever openly display your advanced confident skills or your more knowledgeable understanding of the game... tony@CIC, cksurfdude, downlowkey and 1 other 4 Quote In my DLX Cart Bag: Driver: G410 SFT, set to 9.5*, Mitsubishi Tensei CK Orange 60, stiff (MGS Official 2019 Tester) 3W: G-Series SF TEC, set to 16*, Aldila Tour Blue ATX, 65g, stiff 5W: G400 SFT, set to 19*, Aldila Tour Blue ATX, 65g, stiff 7W: G410 SFT, set to 22*. SeeMore Putts
This thread is hilarious. My additions: If you wait for the group in front to get on the green before hitting your tee shot, you'll hit it well short of where they were to begin with. If one playing partner birdies, the other will bogey or worse. You may still win the hole as long as no early celebration takes place, but the other partner will bogey. Kor.A.Door
The golf gods will always provide a magnetic force that will attract your NEW golf ball to the water hazard. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy Actually I think it's, the Golf gods always provide a magnetic force for any way to lose a brand new ball on the first swing on the first tee of every round. We get to 12 and the gals said we could play through. 1st guy - whose a pretty good driver shanks it into the rough, 2nd guy , again a pretty strong driver barely gets it on the fairway. RoverRick
if you are playing as a single and the group ahead of you waves you up you hit it out of bounds...every. single. time. A couple of weeks ago, we had 3 foursomes. I was in the first group, and a single came up behind and played through the second two groups. We were just heading to the green on Par 3 17 by the time he caught us and we waved him on through. He hit 2 balls into the water and his fifth shot went into the bunker and fails to get out and then putts and misses by 5 feet short and then marks his ball and waits for us. I mean. REALLY! Your going to mark putting for 8 on a par 3 when they told you to go through. We told him to either pick up or putt out, we didn't want to hold him up. By the time he had made his 8 shots the group behind us, who were a full hole when he started, had caught up and were waiting to tee off, and we were waiting for this guy. BTW he went ahead an putted and missed by 3 feet passed and then missed that one. I have to believe he played the other holes better or he would have had to spend the night and we would have passed him.
