So Ryan Moore owns part of Scratch

Ryan has Ping irons in his bag this week, and I wonder why? Looks like the new S56's, but still, with Don White at his disposal, why is he gaming Pings?

A Scratch rep on another site said they're Pings. He was with Ping before Scratch and has a good relationship with them. Ping has a cultlike following in Asia. And Scratch doesn't offer a gi cavity iron.

The Pings look like S56s. Those are the least GI club that Ping makes, while the most GI club that Scratch makes is the EZ-1.

I guess there is no real point there, just throwing it out.

This a bad look, he's not just a contracted player out there like everyone else. The man has share's in an equipment company, and still chooses not too play them.

If he isn't going to game them, why should I?

I have a revolving WITB policy.

I believe his contract revolves around their wedges primarily. He's also the biggest equipment ***** out there. Scratch has created around 10 sets of irons for him this season. His putters change weekly it seems. He also put the Adams driver back in the bag. I wouldn't take too much of what RM does seriously in terms of equipment. For reference, he played Scratch for near the entirety of his season, and it's his best yet as a pro. That's just fwiw.

Maybe there's something about this course that makes Moore feel the need to have that GI feature? Kind of like when Phil had the two drivers in the bag at the Masters, or the 14 wedges (or whatever it was LOL) at the British?
