I wish I had it today, I missed 3 short birdie putts within 8 feet, although I did make a few other nice par savers...

The Tommy is out of the bag already... even tho he rolled out a 28 putt day...

Great looking putter, you will make every putt for 1 week, then it will betray you. Or maybe that is just my experience with changing putters. I think if I could change every week I would average 25 putts

To me it's like an Anser on steroids. Or it's like splitting the difference between an anser and a fang (hatchback). It's not really a blade, and it's not really a mallet.

 

So far I haven't missed a putt yet.

But I've only rolled it on my living room carpet hehe, at a Vee made from two slippers.

But I made every one!

I call my er2 a hybrid of blade and mallet lol. I love the blade good but love the feel and stroke of mallets and it fits the bill perfectly! You will love it. It took me a couple rounds to get a hang of the weight and feel.

I've played the same putter for many years, but have been feeling the pull of the evnroll for a few years now. I want to get fit for stroke path first. My gamer is face balanced, and all of the evnrolls have a bit of toe hang, so I don't want to make an expensive mistake.

If you hung around me that could be a reality as long as you liked blade putters or old Pings. I find putters on the scrap pile at work and keep them. Some of the newer ones I trade off or give away. But when it comes down to brass tacks the rusty Scotty goes in the bag or a old Tommy Armour (8802 style) May mess around today with an Anser 2i ( insert) I found the other day. Seriously I think I have over 100 different putters

First day rolling the new er3. Here's a few sets from about 20'...

BAM!

Ok,ok, I know one half hour roll on a practice green I'm pretty familiar with doesn't mean a whole lot. But, it's better than being crappy on the first go around right?

 

I played with the face a bit to try out the gear effect and at this point I can't say I could really tell much. But, I lined up every left turn putt with the outside dot, and the inside dot for the left to rights, and I will continue to do that religiously for every putt.

 

The one thing I did really feel was the difference between center, and off-center hits. Really soft dead center and a bit firmer on off center. You can really feel the difference.

 

The cool part of that was the balls did end up going the same distance. I like that, and can see that giving me better leaves overall

Totally. The 2017 is butt-ugly and this one is very good looking.

It's my first big dollar job and I'm thrilled with it, and especially it's performance.

Now I see why it's cleaning up in the most wanted putters..

 

Although I bet the 2017 turns into a total collectors stick as a 1 year only job.

My guess is that you're going to love it.  Mine is the ER5 hatchback, cross handed.  I've gone through probably 30 putters, even tried left handed once, and I knew the Evnroll was it the first time I picked it up.  After a year (about 100 rounds) the honeymoon is over and we've settled into a comfortable marriage for life.

Grumpy is my muse.  He reminds me that it's just a game and not to take myself too seriously.
