Ronoc
So I started getting into golf seriously last spring and went full speed ahead since. Fully upgraded my clubs from a mix of used stuff given to me by my father-in-law to a specific collection I'm really excited about. When I started out I went with cheap balls since I was losing them like crazy. Yes, I purchased quite a few boxes of Nike Mojos since they were cheap and got double the amount in each case. I quickly moved on from them though I still have a bunch. I transitioned to the Callaway SuperSofts. Again, price was a factor because I got a good deal on a few cases and for some reason I was drawn to them. Not to mention I got a defect sleeve in a case once and Callaway replaced the whole case immediately (stellar customer service). I am slowly going through my collection of SS but feel like they tend to leave a bit more o be desired. Don't get me wrong, I think they a good ball. At times they feel a bit too soft for me at this point. Any suggestions on what to consider next??? I'm not at the point of willing to speed a crazy amount for some ultra premium ball (though I do have a case of Chrome Softs I'm anxiously waiting to open up). revkev
Pick a premium ball, any premium ball and enjoy. The chrome soft is a good ball. If you're looking for value the Snell MTB is good as is Vice. There are subtle differences between each premium ball so it's always best to find one and stick with it. russtopherb
Agreed with the others - so many great balls out there to choose from, and very decently priced. Snell, Vice, Cut, etc are all great to try out and pick from. Since they're direct to consumer you'll be paying far less for the same quality that you'd pay $40-$50 for in-store. You can also try out last year's model of higher end balls which you can probably find in a lot of stores marked down as well.
