SUNDAY ANNOUNCEMENT - Week 1

 

Throughout this season, we've set up the challenges to be as even as possible. We want guys to have a chance to succeed whether they play 9 or 90 holes during the week and weight it according to baseline handicaps. Each Sunday night at approximately 6PM EST, we'll be announcing the results from the previous week as well as the new challenge for competitors AND forum members for the upcoming week.

 

Without further ado, week 1:

 

 

Competitors: Introductions

The 5 competitors will be introducing themselves and hyping up the smack talk to get this challenge started. Forum members will vote for their favorite introduction by placing a comment in the thread like so: "I vote for X because Y and Z"

Competitors are being ranked 1-5 so be sure to vote for your favorite even if they're a ways back from the lead.

Prior to next week's announcements, one lucky member who votes for their favorite intro will be the proud owner of a Puma/Cobra hat! A random draw will determine the winner of this week's challenge. All you have to do is read the introductions and vote for your favorite!

Great intros and wow this is going to be amazing...sorry just getting up to speed on this but I have been busy. Joyzee10 wins this round in my opinion that video is hilarious...I needed a great laugh and I will be going back to watch it over and over.

I vote for my boy Joyzee10. I love that he is representing Canada and my neck of the woods in the Greater Vancouver area. I have been in touch with him ever since I started at MGS and he has been more than accommodating. Great thread and good luck to the rest of the challengers!

I'm curious how arccos is working out for you guys. Any surprises distance wise or accuracy wise?

 

Based on Joyzees video. He's basically Rickie now with those F8s so I'm expecting a 300 yard average drive.

I am really learning some great info from the system. So far so good. 

 

As for the driver. It's trending in the right direction. I am sure i could nail 300 if i played on harder fairways that rolled out more, but I will do my best!

Oh yeah, Drop Bears. Evil incarnate in the form of fur and claws. The only warning you get is the sudden smell of chewed eucalyptus and urine, then it's all over man!!

#truth_hurts ha ha ha. I'm Not a long baller by any means but I thought I was around 240-350 yards for driving. Reality is I'm more like 210-220 yards with drives. Pretty sure Arccos is wrong😁😂🤣. Other than that, it pretty much confirms what I always thought, too many bogeys, doubles and others, short on approach shots and I really suck at putting...

Reality sucks. I also tried a different system for a short time and it destroyed what I thought my iron distance, I was way off. Arccos will definitely help you. Have fun with this Challenge

Distance-wise, no surprises. Especially seeing my driver and 3 wood going the same distance. I need to play with the driver settings more. My daughter uses it as justification to put the driver in her bag.

 

"C'mon dad, you don't need the driver... you hit the 3 wood just as far and hit more fairways with it. Just let me keep it."

I had some weird distance gaps in my mizuno irons where I had the 4 iron going further than my 3 iron and sw going further than my gap wedge but 27 yards! I'll go more into it in my stage one so stay tuned. As for the F8s, no amount of technology built into these clubs will fix a swing when it's off as mine has been for the last few weeks. The life of a mid-high handicapper.
