I fell a bit behind on this...and other threads over the past week, as it's been a zoo at work.  But I was so psyched to read the posts from both you guys above.  I agree with Looper, keep us updated---and you've already done a fantastic job of that.  

So glad to hear that Cobra delivered for both you guys and that SirChunk....that you found all the comments and reviews in the challenge thread so helpful.

The distance gains are something else. My longest 7 iron went 157. I didn't do that often, I was in the rough way too much from the tee, and it was some fluffy rough. I did hit a great flop shot from about 20 yards to a foot.




The Arccos system is awesome and I didn't have the issues with the battery draining that some people have brought up. I ended with 64% battery using my Galaxy s8 plus. The only issue I had was with it not picking up putts. I had to manually input all but three of them. I even held the putter still for a couple of seconds before the shot as is recommended by the Arccos site.

I ended up shooting a 106, which is on par for my game. Guess I should have put in some range time, but I really wanted to get them on the course. The irons weren't the issue so much it was the driver.





Looking at my stats, I'm actually surprised that Arccos didn't send a signal to my phone and my clubs and set them on fire, send someone to give me a refund, and let me know that I'm not allowed near a golf course ever again. But that's my sense of humor.

I'm really satisfied with my purchase of the Cobras, I can't say enough good about them.

Up and about. that score will come down in no time. You mentioned having trouble off the tee. I can vouch for the F8+ driver......... lol

FINALLY! I broke 80! I shot a 38/40:78 today at my club! pebble Creek in Tampa. I had 2 birdies, the first one came on #7, 295 Par 4 from Senior Tees. The second one was on #16, 330 yd Par 4. This was the 1st time I birdied #16. I had only one double bogey, #14 314 yd Par 4. It’s a dogleg left and my drive went in the water.

Still struggling;g with driver distance, longest was only 211 yds today. However, I was 8 of 14 FIR, 9 GIR’s 1/1 Sandy and only 32 putts.

This was my lowest score with the F8’s.

I loved October golf. It had a sweetness knowing that our season was quickly coming to an end.

I had not broken 80 in about 1 1/2 years......and now I have Back to Back sub 80 rounds. I did it again today. I shot a 37/40:77 with one birdie. This puts me at +8 points after Day 1 of our two day Blitz......Tomorrow’s gonna be tough.....but I love my Cobra F8’s

Played my second round with the Cobras in the bag shot 53/50 for a 103. If it wasn't for having to hit from under trees and a five putt on a par 3, my score would have been better. I'm falling in love with the gap wedge, hit on to four feet from from the hole to give myself my only birdie for the day. I also used it to chip in from 20 feet.

My iron play was great today, I even hit a few great 5 irons (I never do that).

I couldn't get Arccos information today, they are still in the process of mapping my course.

Still enjoying my clubs, and scratching my head as to why they aren't more popular. The guy at the local DSG said they don't carry them because they never sell any. It's a travesty in my book.

They let you by iron sets  one club at a time with choices of shaft, grip, length adjustments, lie adjustments, and even minor loft adjustments.

You're even better off buying non-standard specs because you know everything is checked that way.

Nifty, thanks for the info! I'm thinking about eventually adding a 4 iron to my set, mine was 5-GW. I went to the TGW website and found that I could order one and saw all the customization options. On the Cobra site, they are on back order.

 

On A side note, I wish I had half your knowledge on this game and the equipment. That's what I love about this site, there's a lot of great people with solid advice.

GG I can't tell you how happy I am for you.. I'm glad you love the clubs, I would have hated for someone to get a set and absolutly hate them.

 

Sirchunksalot, you keep killing them.. It took me about 3 full rounds and a couple of practice sessions to really get comfortable with them and then I started going crazy with them.. I feel you will too..

Well with the help of my Cobra Forged Tec One Length Irons and Arccos I tried my all time low round today. I have to tell you guys that these irons are majestic I mean I am hitting shots I never thought possible. The trajectory is towering and literally my lough is wide open on every shot. I backspin 4 irons now. My putting is improving each round with the help of advice from a fellow spy. I am pin hunting with every approach I mean I have that much confidence!!!!
