pulledabill
What is your guestimate on how much you spend a year on balls? I seldkm buy new balls, and if I do, its a sleeve to try. I spent $100ish a year ago on various brands of to try outcand still gave some here and there. I spent 40 a month or two ago on 4 doz used Pro V1s which I have half left. It gets soggy here so I lose quite a few in the sprind and winter to plugging. Those are usually crap balls . I dont lose many gaming, I lose them playing around with differnt shots when the course is slow DRIVER: Cobra F9 10.5 Tensei AV Blue 65g 3W- Callway XR PRO 16 stiff 5W- Alpha- Mitsubishi Diamana Redboard w/band Irons- Mizuno JPX 919 Tours with S KBS Tour shafts Hyrbid- TM 4h mid-rescue Vokey- Vokey SM5 51 degrees, SM7 Wedges 54 and 58 1/2 half 3 degrees upright Putter- Taylor Made Rossa Monza Mini Spider Ball-ProV1 and AVX
TR1PTIK
Just received 6 dozen Snell MTB Blacks a few weeks ago. Set me back $164.00, but it's more than enough to get me through the season. In the past I've also done the Vice Golf 5 dozen special (about $130-$140 shipped if I remember right). Always good to have a couple scuffed up balls in the bag for troublesome holes where you think you might lose one. Alf. S
Occasionally buy a dozen new balls tend to be Pro V1x, Chrome Soft X or Srixon XV and these will normally last the summer season of competition. I don't have a set routine i.e. new ball at the start of a competition, usually play with it until I lose it or it gets a bad mark on it. For bounce games I will use old balls and tend not to be too fussy on what I play with. This year I'm would guess about £80 by the end of the summer maybe another dozen so £120. October to March it is again balls that I have found throughout the summer. russtopherb
So far I've spent $35 on 4 dozen balls. I tend to get balls as gifts throughout the year (birthday, Christmas, Father's Day) so I really don't have to spend a lot. Which is good, because as a higher handicapper I'll lose 1-2 per round. cnosil
$0. haven't bought a new golf ball in years. I have a supply of trial sleeves that I have gotten from demoing clubs to balls I find on the course. I don't personally find that balls that I like to play perform differently when new vs when found on the course. I have ziplock bags full of titleist, Bridgestone, srixon, snell, etc. Anything I find that I won't play gets given to a friend who donates them to a kids program. revkev
I buy all of my balls in January - 4 dozen - $120. (Less if I go for a closeout special). I get them personalized as well. I always have some left over - right now I still have 41/2 dozen of my gamers. I may buy a sleeve or two of something in the late fall if I'm curios about trying it. Right now I'm curious about the Tp5 because I've had success with TMag balls in the past. GarField000
As i'm still beginner I loose a lot off balls . I am testing some balls now to see what I like most. As i'm handicap 41 I don't need ProV1(x) I am testing a few brands in the range of US 35 for 2 dozen.Wilson DX2, Callway Supersoft, Pinnacle Soft (cheaper), Titleist Trusoft and Srixon Supersoft. At this moment I loose about 2 dozen a month with playing 4 times a week. So that's US 300 I guess not playing that much in the winter.

fozcycle
My guess is about $100/year. I am a Ranger two days a week and find som many good balls that I separate them and put 9 In ziplock bags then give them to my friends. Before I went to Gatlinburg for a vacation this year I gathered up 2 dozen Pro V1's and put my American Flag stencil on them. Well, I lost about 5 or 6 the first round then none for the last 4. Now I'm trying the Q Star Tours that I got at my pro shop for $20/dozen. I really like them. PING Apologist #9
This being the first full season for me (and it ain't over yet), I've spent $165 on 6-doz Snell MTB Blacks just recently as my stash of 2-doz Bridgestone E6 Softs I got for Christmas has dwindled down to a mere 3 survivors. Ronoc
Stocked up a lot last year when I started getting serious about golf. Sadly that has lead to balls I'd rather not play anymore- more Nike Mojos than I know what to do with. Acquired a variety of promo cases (companies logos on it) from family and got a few cases for. Christmas. Still chipping away at my collection from last year and gifts so spent $0 so far. Though I'm feeling the itch to try something new. MDGolfHacker
My swing has been so inconsistent as of late so during one round I may lose 0 balls and in the next 2 sleeves. I usually buy 6 dozen during the winter from Ebay as part of my winter blues. Usually $150 a year, but this year I happened to put down a bid of $100 for 6 dozen Z*Stars and had it accepted so I'm up to $250ish this year. So the total stockpile I have is something like 4 dozen prov1s, 2 dozen b330RX's, and 8 dozen Z*Stars. A few dozen are from tournaments I've played in. MDGolfHacker TSssWhat's In This Lefty's Bag?
