I never liked the stamping of the 'JPX 900' text so Im just glad these don't have that, but to each his own. Pumped to see how good they look in promos though. GB13
The forged and tour look great. The hot metals look kind of cheap to me. I think the fins would just get dirt caught in them over time. Personally I would take the 919 tour and forged over the 900 and the 900 hot metals over the 919. bardle and Shankster 2 Quote Wilson Staff C300 9.0* Fujikura Pro 58 stiff Callaway Rogue 3W Mitsubishi Diamana D+ LTD 80 stiff Mizuno MP-18 MMC FLI-HI 2 iron UST Mamiya Recoil 95 stiff Ping I200's 4-W Aerotech Steelfiber I110 CW stiff Ping Glide 52* and 58* stiff Bettinardi Studio Stock #38 Armlock

noodle3872
Does anyone else think that Mizuno is focusing more on the JPX line and less on MP's? Absolutely not. MP line is the core of Mizuno. Not at all, with how Mizuno times their release cycles, the upcoming line get their full attention. The MP line and JPX line are aimed at different golfers. With the exception of the JPX 900/919 Tour, the JPX line is more game improvement. The last MP line is now without a true cavity back which is different than the past. In my eyes anyway, Mizuno is paring down their lines quite intelligently. GB13
Still not sure about the Tour remodel. Seems to be the one that moved away from the last model the most. But what do I know. Really? They still have the same shape undercut cavity and still toe weighted. If you compare them side by side, the shape and weighting still looks the same to me. All I see are more refined graphics(IMO). There might be slightly more toe weighting though, the portion with the bird might be slightly bigger than the previous iteration. I believe it is still forged out of the same material too. Edit: The toe weighting is slightly larger. They all look very technically similar just with different graphics. But why mess with three great (selling) sets of irons too much. Shankster
To me the Tour looks like a complete redesign. The forged and the hot metal look very similar, just a face lift. The Tour looks like the Nike Vapor Pro... maybe that's what they were going for?
