Matt Saternus
While I was snapping pictures for the WIYB forum yesterday, I decided to snap new pics of my putter collection too. Matt Saternus
FINALLY (for now) a few headcovers sitting on my headcover & putter rack. The Chicago HCs are far and away my favorite, and I'm hoping that I can add a navy blue Bettinardi Chicago to the mix one day. Oh, and a picture of my winter putting set up: a Birdieball putting green and a Boomerang putting trainer. Matt Saternus
Yeah, they're ok, I guess I really do like other brands, it just seems like the Byrons are the ones that stick around. Also, when it comes to ordering customs, the prices and options are hard to beat. Follow me on Twitter: @MattSaternus

Matt Saternus
That mini is amazing. What are you getting done in copper plate? 006 with surfboard engraving, sight dot, custom stamping, ground down to 330g. Should have the "gamer" spot locked up for 2010, and maybe beyond. I really feel like I know what I want now. Very nice collection there Matt. the more I see these Byron Morgan putters makes me think the next putter I buy may just have to be a Byron! Thanks, I will definitely post more pics when the custom gets here. That thing is solid copper and not plated? Very nice, very nice. Yes, solid copper. Byron did a run of 30 and I was lucky enough to pick this one up. Wow, what a GREAT collection!! That Mini is Unbelievable!! Congrats Thanks! Matt Saternus
It is pretty, but this beast was purchased to be a gamer! It puts a great roll on the ball, and the carbon plating takes nothing away from the softness of carbon steel. This putter + ProV1X = the perfect putting experience. My other 006's have lines, which I have moved away from. This putter has a dot, the 007 has a dot, and the mini has a dot. The John Byrons are naked. Can't wait to see it patina... Me neither. It should pick up a nice bit of color after 6 days in Myrtle. Follow me on Twitter: @MattSaternus
SPY VIP GolfSpy Dave Posted March 16, 2010 SPY VIP Share Posted March 16, 2010 Do you use the dot? My 006 has a dot and often times it seems like I don't even see it. I am more of a square the face to the target type of putter plus byron's sweet spot goes from heel to toe. does yours have a toe bulge stamp? Dave
They are all great looking flatsticks. My personal fav 3 are the Dalehead, 006 flow neck and of course that Copper Mini. I have a revolving WITB policy.

It's one of those goofy personal things: on a 006, I like the dot. On a DH89, I'd prefer it naked. No real reason, just preference. I don't have a toe stamp. I have one on my first 006 and I felt like it was noticeable at address. What is your toe stamp? Follow me on Twitter: @MattSaternus

That copper mini is something special. As much as I'm sure that this 006 is going to be the gamer, I really want to get that mini on grass. I'm sure it will at least see some practice green time this summer. Follow me on Twitter: @MattSaternus

Matt Saternus
I've added a new crown jewel to my Byron collection, so I wanted to update the thread. I'm not sure how it happened, but I was able to score this TCB 20th Anniversary DH89 (10/11) for a ridiculous price and the putter was completed recently with the addition of a Patrick Gibbons Handmade grip. While I'm at it, here are a few updated pics of my copper plated 006. I always thought I'd want to keep my coppers shiny and new, but I'm 100% in love with the patina that is taking shape. Also, for anyone keeping score at home, my count is still at 7 Byrons as the 007x has moved on to a home where (hopefully) it will be gamed instead of just admired. Matt Saternus
I'll update my HC collection and get pics of my non-Byrons up once I complete the new rack I'm building for myself. The shop has become very busy lately which means little to no time for personal projects. Follow me on Twitter: @MattSaternus
