Beach or mountain?

What do you prefer, playing golf in the mountains or on the beach?

I would much rather play golf on the beach, however I've played a couple different courses in the mountains and they were a blast too.  If I'm looking for a place to live, however, that's a different story.  Give me the mountains every time.

In my bag:

Callaway Epic Subzero with Aldila Rogue Max 75 Stiff shaft

Callaway Rogue Subzero with Project X Evenflow 6.0 75g stiff shaft

Callaway Rogue 3 Hybrid with Aldila Synergy 60 HYB stiff shaft

Callaway Apex irons (4-PW) with True Temper XP 95 stiff shafts

Callaway MD3 wedges (50/54/58)

Any course that has both?

I'd have to say beach would be my preference. Gotta love the ocean breeze making life difficult on the course.

Throwing a picture of Cypress in here isn't really fair. . Not sure anyone would pick any mountain course over this.

Is first one Sandpiper? I haven't played Avila even though I have stayed many times at the San Luis Bay Inn. Being a Cali boy myself its's hard to beat the beach. Have played many mountain courses and most of them have some tricked up holes where they ran out of room during design. Saddle Creek may be my favorite mountain one.

Yeah, the first one in Sandpiper.  I have probably played Avila more than any other beach course, always been one of my favorites.

Can I answer both? Monday through Friday I live in the Catskills and go home to my house at the beach and play on the weekends. One of of clubs is up and down a mountain and the other is on the water.

You can see the ocean from a couple of our mountain courses -- does that count?

Obviously, I'm more of a beach person, but I'd love to play above sea level sometime to see some extra yds to make me feel better about myself :)

Despite the mountain golf boosting my ego with the ball traveling a lot further than at sea level, I'd have to go with the beach for pure bliss.

I've played some magnificent courses in the Canadian Rockies and in Utah but nothing compares to the beach side courses in places like Cabo where if you hit it slightly offline, you could hit someone on the beach. The one thing I don't like about mountain courses is how the greens aren't always true and everything breaks to a certain point... Even if you swear it breaks a different direction.

Here's a course in Cabo

Can MGS arrange a tournament at Cabot for all of us?! That place looks incredible.
