Read the blog post on this. Not a judgment on the putter, but just surprised that we have reached the $600 pricing for an OEM off the rack putter. Seems like we just skipped the $500 range.

I agree! There is no reason why this putter should be $600. They should keep them in the $300-$400 range.

Except for the fact Cameron fans will pay it.

I like the looks quite a bit, but no way I'd pay that much.

While the price is high I think like with most products the consumer forgets r&d and marketing costs go into the final price. Also the Cameron enthusiasts may buy it, however many lookmore st the tour level putters and don't care much for the otr offerings

Yeah. Going after the people with bucket loads of money crowd.

It's kind of a joke really.

Let's grow the game but charge a fortune for stuff.

Sweet looking putters though. I'll wait 5 years to get one.

I don't think a boutique style brand has any responsibility to grow the game and for that matter most brands. Does equipment costs come into play for newer golfers or even those that have been playing for awhile? Of course but like any hobby one has th choice to buy what they want from who they want or not buy it. The growth of the game imo is on organizations like usga, pga, r&a, etc. companies can chose to offer lower priced clubs or not and the consumer can choose to support or not

No one complains that Ferrari's or lambo or other high end cars are bad for the car industry.

Those that can or want to will buy and those that can't or don't like it won't. Imo it's not hurting the game

I am not looking past the marketing and R&D, although it could be argued that Cameron merchandise markets itself.

Like I said, I am not judging the putter or even that they are charging $600. I was just surprised that we have reached that plateau for an OTR putter. Customs have been in that range for years and like you said true Cameron collectors are more into the limited editions and one offs.

I was surprised too but never shocked by equipment price anymore and I agree the brand markets itself.

You may not but many golfers don't account for those or the price of materials.

I don't see Titleist/Cameron/Vokey as a boutique brand.

Pretty much “the standard”...

Titleist and Vokey are not boutique but Cameron is closer to boutique brand that offers an otr than it is to just another golf company.

The damn thing looks gorgeous. To me it is the same as looking at a Corvette.  Beautiful and probably performs at a ridiculously high level for some people, but completely out of my price range.  I'll just admire it like I do art work in a museum.

Well, the wings DO “melt”..... I mean, who has THAT kind of tech in their putters?!?! This kind of tech is right up there with gasoline powered cars!!!!

Really digging the color and that shaft bend design on the CX-02 putter. Wonder how the putter headcover will look like. Those wings don't work for me and even the $600 price tag. I will keep my Scotty M2 and have it blacked out or get a Evnroll ER3 blacked out.20180717_163531.jpeg20180717_163449.jpeg

I must be on a different wavelength than y'all. I couldn't stand to look at those. I think the wings would totally screw up my alignment. I am sure they have high MOI and would work great for some but they are not for me. I do have a very fast paced putting stroke so "winged" putters and I don't work well together.
