Portugal Courses

I'm heading to Portugal in a couple weeks for a semi-golf vacation. Any Spyers have any recommendations for courses? I'm already set to play the Royal Obidos which I'm super excited about it because it's Seve designed!

I´m from Portugal and i can point a few for you. Will you be staying just around Lisbon, will you go south? North? Do you have means to travel? What kind of courses are you looking for? Dificult, sight seeing ? just to relax ?

The best course for me, within beauty is Vidago, i would rate it medium-hard difficulty

Thanks so much! I'll try to see as many of these as I can. I'm starting in Lisbon and then moving along the coast to Porto. Westcliffs looks stunning!

WestClifs is a very recent addition to our golf Portfolio so I hope you get to play there, it's been hard to get tee these days of summer.

Loved it!!! Played West Cliffs twice it was so good. Also played Seve's course first but took me 3 holes to figure out you guys use 150 m instead of 150 yards. But can't wait to come back. Thanks for your help!

It really looks astonishing. I´m glad you liked it, where you guiding yourself by the reference '' sticks '' ? I believe only a few courses in Algarve use the double marking with a color for meters and another for yards. As a reference for everyone reading this post we use a mark on the post for every 50 meters 50 Meters = 54.680665 Yards so its 5 more yards that what your used to right?

Yup, so 150 m markers are 164 yds from the hole. But I just though I was hitting my 8 iron horribly short!!
