It's a shame that the PGA is only being broadcast for a part of the day. I was looking forward to getting up and having it on my tv. I love how the U.S. Open and The Open have more comprehensive coverage of their Majors.

shoots 77-70 and MC in Canada two weeks ago and fires a 63 to tie the lowest score ever at the PGA today.

 

It's like he gets bored if it's not a major....

I agree that more TV coverage would be nice but the streaming coverage in the last few years of the majors has really improved!

It really has, I was sitting in the parking lot at work watching The Open at 4:30 a.m. and really enjoying it. I caught a bit of this one earlier, but I just found featured groups, the wait between shots was killing me.

• Koepka and Schwartzel posting 63 today.  Last time that was done at a PGA was in 1980 with Nicklaus and Wieskopf
• Bubba Watson probably already back home after posting a tournament ending 78 (148).  Not sure why Bubba even bothered showing up today.
• John Daly and Patrick Reed posting identical cut missing 143.  The fat boys won't be around for the weekend.
• Looks like Kuchar and Garcia, posting 141 will be trunk slamming today as well.
• Unless Ben Kern birdies at least one hole, it will probably be another year of all PGA club professionals missing the cut.

Finau quietly going 4 under through 4 right now...just sunk a 20 footer on the 521 yard par 4, 4th....

 

EDIT: -5 through 5..that putt was a logged as a 22 footer...TNT still hasnt shown a single shot he's hit...

Just an observation on the size of the gallery following Tiger's group.  Can you really see much of anything following Tiger and Rory in this insanely large crowd.  I would think you'd be better off just watching all of this on TV, because they are going to show you everything Tiger does anyway.

Yeah, I doubt you could see anything. Even if I wanted to watch Tiger(I wouldn't anyway), I would watch Rose or Fowler. That way I could see what is happening and be in less of a crowd. I am not a people person and don't like crowds anyway.

That's definitely me.  I went to the Players a few years ago and the wife only had one thing on her mind, follow Rory everywhere he went.  She was like a teenage girl in heat, but Rory probably had one of the larger galleries on the course, and I had to sort of guide her around, as we went ahead of Rory by at least 2 or 3 holes, just so I didn't have to engage the stampede.

Ugg. Play suspended for today.  It's gonna make for a long day tomorrow for a good part of the field; both those having many holes to finish and the guys (many leading), hanging around waiting.  More split tee play... just makes it feel funky.

Sooooo upset! Had the absolute perfect spot today. Watched the few power groups tee off on 1, then posted up right between the green and tee on 15 and 16. Players were about 10 feet away. Was hoping to hangout there until those big groups came through. Unfortunately, mother nature decided we needed a little rain and they ended up calling it quits for the day.

golf coverage on TV just sucks period. And with Tiger being in any tournament just means he's all you'll see. I honestly don't even complain anymore.

I may start doing more of that if tv coverage is going to be that bad just pick a group and watch them play

the streaming of featured groups is ok, and it might as well have been the tnt coverage in the afternoon with all tiger all the time. The problem with featured groups is that the audio for the telecast is not as loud as the commercials and there is a ton of down time between each groups shots. If they could switch between 3 or 4 groups simultaneously you'd have never ending shots to show. But I guess we must see 100 omega commercials an hour.
