Ok - well if it's a newer club contact whatever customer service you need to?

Probably would have been a better option before he took a dremel to the club.

I guess you could try and replace the carbon plate but it would have to be something extremely lightweight to not throw off the balance and would have to be something you could work to fit into the hole.

Definitely would have been a better option. Most OEMs nowadays are very good for issues with cracks even if it's slightly out of the warranty period.

Well, it's a PXG but it's fine; i was very much aware of what I was doing :)

I was wondering if I can have a hybrid with a 'window' ;-) But can't find a material that would fit the requirement

Must be nice to be able to not think twice about bastardizing a $500 club

Taking a Dremel to a PXG is straight-up baller.

But I did think twice about it. Just after thinking about it I guessed it was a good idea :-)

I spoke to a company that repairs super cars and they said they can fix it without a problem as they repair carbon on a daily basis :-)

Ok I'm not getting it. If it's a PXG why not send it back to them for repair. Better yet just buy a new one. I'll bet that super car place will charge you more than the cost of a new club.

But then he wouldn't be able to brag that he is getting his $500 hybrid modified at a super car place

not sure what the purpose of this thread was for. First you take it apart and then you seek advice. Then you quickly buy a new one the same day tony@cic replied? ???

why waste people's time?

The only one wasting time seems to be you replying here? The new hybrid was in the bag 2 days after this one cracked. Which was about a month ago.

Which doesn't mean that I can't have a go at repairing this one. Or does it in your world?

I didn't 'take it apart'. I was checking if its maybe only the paint cracked, and it wasnt. So I removed the plate.

Anyway, not sure what the purpose of your reply is.

There is a very good quote from Gandhi "speak only when it improves upon the silence".

Sometimes when all you want to say is negative, maybe you should say it as a mantra a few times.

Not sure how it happened, but it did. So as any normal person I took my dremel to it :)

I wonder if someone can replace the carbon plate? Has it been done? :) Should I hit a few hits without the plate? :) Or just bin the hybrid?

When I went for a fitting at Club Champion, their GBB Epic Subzero had the carbon cracked. The fitter said he had heard of it happening before.
