WardenGolf
Recently purchased a new set of irons used. I didn't have time to change the grip on the clubs. I went to the range after having the clubs adjusted to fit me and started pulling everything left. I had an idea it may be the grips obviously. I did a little experimenting. I put a midsize grip, and jumbo grip on my 6,7 irons and kept the standard on my 8. The 8 went way left, the 6 went semi left, and the 7 was to my surprise almost dead straight with the slightest of draws. I measure in at Standrad/Midsize according to the club fitter, but I honestly though “measurements†are a waste of time. Go with what feels right. Story is, I was told standard but jumbo get my best results. Also, with the standard I started getting bad callous on my left hand. Went to the jumbo and it was much better. Anyone out there use Jumbos like me!? 2 Quote Rich Irons: Mizuno MPH-4 (4-PW) Driver: Ping G400 LST Wedges: Cleveland 52, 56, 62 Putter: Rife Orlando, FL
GB13
We all know Jumbo is the best😉 Interesting results though. Are they repeatable? I think it is personal preference too. I play Midsize. The "feel" the best to me and are the most comfortable. I have large hands and can't stand standard. I haven't tried jumbo but might soon. Go with what works for you. 1 Quote Wilson Staff C300 9.0* Fujikura Pro 58 stiff Callaway Rogue 3W Mitsubishi Diamana D+ LTD 80 stiff Mizuno MP-18 MMC FLI-HI 2 iron UST Mamiya Recoil 95 stiff Ping I200's 4-W Aerotech Steelfiber I110 CW stiff Ping Glide 52* and 58* stiff Bettinardi Studio Stock #38 Armlock

palvord
Grip size matters for sure. As Rev talks about often, it's another variable you can work to control. A friend of mine plays midsize on his driver through hybrids, jumbo on 5-8i and then standard on 9-wedges. He likes what his hands feel and how the grip can prevent them from being too involved.
