GeekingGolf
Here is my current golf swing. Just looking for some suggestions on how to improve it. I shot this video while testing the Ben Hogan Equalizer wedges. Two things I am working on right now 1.) keeping my spine angle through to the follow through and 2.) getting my hands lower to establish a better angle between my arms and the shaft of the club at address. Here is the link to YouTube. "Obviously my iron play is incredible, and when I get going I can get hot, but this course just fits my eye. Is it because you're trying to change your ball flight? If the results are what you desire then don't change for the sake of looks. However if you're coming into steep, hitting it too high and leaking its right then increasing the angle between and your arms and shaft and thus shallowing out the club may help. I'm all for experimenting and seeing what those changes make to your ball flight. There may be times on the course where you want to be steelers and other times where you want to be shallower. Teaching yourself the skills to be able to execute both will only help you on the course

I did get the DST compressor that has helped tremendously. Sent from my SM-G960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app Don't mean to jump the Q but usually when an instructor says open or closed at the top they are referring to the clubface. That means that the face has been manipulated to where it is pointing toe straight down at the top of the swing (open) or face to the sky at the top (closed). If from those positions the club where to return to impact in that same orientation then the toe down would be face pointing right of target at impact (open) or face to sky would be pointing left of target at impact (closed). Most over the top slicers tend to have an open face at the top as they have rolled the face open and yanked the club inside with hands and arms in the takeaway. From there the only way back to the ball is to lurch the club back over the top of the swing plane and glance across the ball with an out-to-in path and open face. Hence the big left-to-right slice. Try and get the takeaway a little more neutral so you don't have to open the face so much. If the takeaway gets steeper the face will have to be more closed to get a straight flight. But I am not sure I would advise changing. I am very steep and have a very closed face at the top and my miss is then a dead pull. If you get too closed then a pull will form. Make a very small change if you do. Small changes can do big things. SteddyGolf
I don't see any huge issues with your swing. It is very smooth and compact. I would recommend you try to stand a little taller with less rounding in the shoulders. Try to control those angles from hip to base of the neck. I see in your profile you play to around an 8 handicap. Do you know where you are losing those 8 strokes per round? One errant drive, missed chip, three putt or even missed birdie putt; it all goes towards that total stroke count. The purpose of the short putt drill is to work on aim, tempo and swing plane. When you get to the point where you are knocking down 25 to 50 in a row you build muscle memory and aim point. The last thing I'll say is look at the PGA tour professional's averages. These guy have the best equipment fitted specifically to them by world class fitters. They also have the best coaches money can buy. If you are anywhere close to their percentages then you really would be foolish to expect more. Keeping things in perspective and maintaining realistic expectations will help you to maintain your composure which in my experience is the key to moving closer to scratch. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy We used to play a game called 7 up on the free throw line, usually at the end of practice when you are tired, and it involved lots of running when you missed. Our coach also required 7-10 made FT, and for every miss out of ten you had to run what we called 60's (ladder run), either you got better or you ran. I usually ran 1 or none. It worked well at the end of games since we were used to being tired and shooting FT. This makes sense to do this for putting to end the putting session.
