No3PuttLaLa
We have a few forums for how did you play and pics from course but figured it would be fun to start one to see where everyone is playing. I know a lot of us have our own home tracks. But we also like to brag when we travel and get to play courses outside of home. Let's share those adventures! Not playing today... but yesterday I played 18 at Maplewood GC in Renton, WA. The front nine was fun but the back was boring, it all zigzagged. You could tell they squeezed those holes into as little space as possible. CHY
Torrey Pines South Course. I go to the North course more frequently, and the South course is definitely longer and more difficult. fozcycle
I have our Fall Two day Blitz starting tomorrow....two days of Stableford points competition. I handle the pairings, registration, results and payout. Only have 34 players this time. We play ever6 Saturday for a 6 mont( period then, if you have played I. 10 of the 24 weeks, you qualify to participate. Generally the payout is between $4k and $5k. Each player contributes $4/wk and must make up the missed rounds. That way they all contribute about $100. It’s a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. Kenny B
I am headed to Spokane WA for the weekend where my wife and I will be playing two rounds at the old Spokane CC, now the Kalispell G&CC. It's her home course when she was on her high school golf team back in the early 1970's. Her dad was club champion back in the early 1960's. It's not overly long, but it's a great course. The first time I played it I shot 81 with 5 three-putts; the greens were faster than anything I had played on, including a couple of TPC courses. I'm pretty confident about putting right now; I just hope I can hit fairways. “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”
PING Apologist #9
Going out to Warm Springs over in Boise later on around noon to play with my scramble group. Not quite a "destination" spot, but it's a good little track that's mostly flat with decent greens. I imagine the leaves and goose droppings will be very prevalent today as it runs along the Boise river and is loaded with trees and those birds just kind of hang out down there. Supposed to be windy this afternoon too, so we may have quite a challenge on our hands. Our course is similar; near the Columbia River, and the course has been sanctioned by the International Audubon Society, so no hunting! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy Can't have a dog. Birds are protected; no harassment. The geese that are around most of the year are totally unafraid of golfers. They barely move out of the way of a cart. The Walla Walla CC does have a dog trained for that. They warned us not to approach the dog, because it's a "working dog". “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”
