Golf Glove Routine

I put my glove on at the start of play and, except for a behind the bush/tree break or a mustard and ketchup rich hot dog at the turn (not often), it stays on the entire round.  I see the pros taking them on and off between shots and not wearing them while putting.  Seems like a lot of wasted motion to me  . I've tried putting without it on and it feels odd to me. What's your golf glove routine and why?

I take it off between every shot. In MN the summers are usually HOT so it cools my hand and and dries the sweat. If I leave the glove on the whole time it will be soaked with sweat by the 4th hole. I also find that it has become part of my preshot routine and helps me commit to the shot. For putting it takes all of the feel with my left hand out of the putting stroke. I don't need it for grip so I would rather have the feel.

 

P.S. I write left handed but play right handed so I would have to take the glove off to write my score after the hole anyway.

I only have the glove on when taking shots. It stays dry and cleaner longer than if worn continuously for 4 hours. Not sure why I am on and off with the glove But 40 years of habit would probably be the best explanation.

Mine only comes off during putting, or when I'm around the green. Sometimes when I'm walking, I'll take it off after tee shots when it's exceptionally hot outside.

I usually wear 2 gloves and leave them on all round. I only take them off when using the bathroom or snack shop

If I remember to I remove my glove when I putt. Or if I have a long wait between shots I'll take it off for a few minutes. Otherwise it stays on.

Losen it after every dhot. Somr dsys when real hot I wikl take it off between shots. Off for putting and anything less than full swings.

I've never played with a glove... until this year.  Well, almost true; when I traveled to a hot humid area I used a glove.  Here in hot dry conditions I don't need one.  Well one day, playing in the morning on a 100º day, it was very humid until the water from irrigation evaporated, so I put on a glove.  I wore it for the entire round.  The next round I decided to put it on only when hitting full shots and not wear it when pitching, chipping and putting.  That lasted about two holes; I ended up playing several holes with the glove in my back pocket.  So now, as long as it's hot, I will wear the glove for the entire round.  When it cools off again, I'll likely go back to no glove.

At the start of each hole I put it on. Like GB13 mentioned above, I see it as part of my routine and “committing” to the shot.

When heading to my ball after each stroke I tend to undo the velcro but still leave the glove on.

I usually take my glove off once on the green but sometimes forget. Lately been taking it off for chips/greenside shots to get more of a feel with my wedges.

Same boat here also on hit humid and rainy days it stays dryer for me.

Glove is always off for putting and at least loosened if not off between shots. Even with that, in the summer I need to have two gloves with me to keep from sweating through them.

I only wear one when it's super humid.

 

On for shots above 100 yards.

Normally take it off after every shot unless it's cold. Normally it's pretty hot in the summer so I find the glove gets soaked if I keep it on all the time.

Plus I avoid the fantastic glove tanline on my hand!

I only put it on for my shots. I don't use a glove for any of my wedge shots even full wedge shots.
