DameLoftedUp
Hi all, i've started up a new app called the echelon golf network. i won't link to it here but if you google “echelon golf network†you'll find the site and a way to download the app. the premise is essentially for club members to utilize their membership as a true asset the same way someone can utilize their car with uber. the app came to be a mere 7 months ago, we are in our most infant stages. the idea would be as follows. member X of club Y doesn't have his game set for friday, and thus has slots available in his tee time. he posts to the egn app that there are 1-3 slots available at his club at say 11 am and he sets the price. we ask that the price be in the ball park of a standard guest fee. so if a club's guest fee is 75, we'd expect he charge no more than $100. on top of that, he sets a service fee, which the app collects 30% of. so a $75 guest fee can be $100 plus $20 in service, with the member pocketing $114. if he brings 3 guests, that's 225 in guest fees for his club and $117 (342-225) into his pocket. if his clubs monthly dues are 700, he just covered 17% of them by bringing 3 guests and slightly over charging. some may argue it's unethical to over charge for a greens fee, but an uber driver is paid for more than just his gas and mileage. we know the app won't fit the country club members who don't care about incremental dollars to offset their dues, but think of all the junior members this could help. i also believe that the demand is out there given the number of people who are and want to be raters for GD/golf.com/golfweek, where they pay an exorbitant unaccompanied guest fee to play those courses to rate them. also consider the thousands of members that boxgroove.com has. lastly, if people are willing to pay non-muni daily fee prices for courses of questionable condition and pace of play, what's 10% more to play in 3.5 hours in private club conditions? i'm curious how you all feel about such an app and if you'd use it. i'm working to virally spread the word about its existence. DPattGolf
Either your math is wrong or no one will ever use this except to try and get an on an extremely exclusive club. Even in that case it is highly likely that those clubs will not allow their members to "sell rounds". * Staff Professional* Driver: Stealth Plus+ (7.25*) - Fujikura Ventus Black 6X Tipped 1" 3 Wood: Stealth Plus+ (14.25*) - Fujikura Ventus Blue 7x Tipped 1" Driving Iron: P790 UDI 2 iron - HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 100 6.5 4 Iron: P790 - KBS C-Taper 130 X Irons (5-7) P7MC - KBS C-Taper 130 X Irons (8-P) P7MB - KBS C-Taper 130 X Wedges: MG3 Black 50.09 / 55.11 - KBS TOUR FLT 130 X 60* Wedge: High Toe Raw - KBS Tour 130 X Putter: Custom Black ER2 or Custom Black Del Monte Bag: FlexTech Stand Bag Glove: Tour Preferred Glove Ball: TP5X #11 RangeFinder: R1 Smart Rangefinder Instagram: @dpattgolf
Har in the Hat
so as a member of the public knowing that your profit will be 30% and the member can charge an addional 25% more will make me think twice about using it. I think you are getting too greedy. But that is just my opinion. I also don't spend $500 every other year on new drivers. I'm sure someone out there will pay that for that opportunity to play an exclusive private club as opposed to a standard "private club" What's in my Mizuno BR-D2 bag OFFICIAL TESTER FOR THE PING i500 CLUBS.
