New wedges 500 shots

I know we (MGS) did some testing but was it this few shots? Got an email from Club Champion saying your wedges are shot after 500 shots. Fine print says bunker shots.

 

This is still not many shots. And in understand how pros practice I'm assuming they switch wedges every month then. I don't agree with this logic and I call bs and this is all a marketing ploy to sell more wedges.

 

What are your thoughts

I've heard rose switches out every 1000 shots

Driver: PXG 0811 X+ Proto w/UST Helium 5F4

I just replaced my 56° for the first time since I started playing. Not sure how much spin I was giving up but my short game wasn't really that good when I started to take advantage any how

I've had 7 sand shots in the last 20 rounds I've played. I think I'll be okay to swap it out after 500 sand shots...but I doubt I'll need too.

 

For club champion to be so highly rated. The one near me has horrid reviews. Don't think I'll be going anywhere near it when I decide to so a fitting

I got fit for my driver there and love it, but I would never get fit for wedges inside.

If I were a touring pro I would probably switch them out every week the day before the tournament starts. This way I would have time to adjust to the new wedges but the grooves would still be fresh. I would want maximum spin on every shot.

 

I am sure this depends on swing speed and sand conditions. It might matter if they are cast or forged too. I am sure this study is made with the worst possible conditions for the grooves so you go buy them from CC.

I practice and play a lot and my wedges are a year old and still get pretty good rip when kept clean. Probably will be due for new ones after the season though

4 stars on Google. And only 9 reviews. Not exactly stellar. With a couple of scary 1 stars thrown in. I'm not against your company but let's just say I'm still exploring my options at this point.
